An even more unpopular view I am finding more evidence for is Jerusalem as Mystery Babylon. It is surrounded by 7 MOUNTAINS (not hills, scripture calls for mtns), many scriptures of Israel as the harlot (Ezek. 16) and also, city where prophets, apostles , &saviour killed. Hate to say it, but it could be so. Then YHWH will rebuild Jerusalem, his holy city. You may be correct there - the "hills" vs montains are one of the few discrepencies, but they are discrepencies, nevertheless.

We must be careful of stating thigns as fact, when we have to be so careful. @scutter4christ No. God is far more tolerant than Prostestant lawyers portray Him. Protestantism has been a dreadful mistake, a gratuitous rebellion. But Jesus is anywhere that people love Him. He's tremendously forgiving. My point about Protestantism being irrelevant in Salvation History is that Revelation is by an Apostle, addressed to the Church founded by the Apostles. How do Protestants see themselves as fitting into that picture?

The next pope may be lead by satan but does that condemn the entire Catholic church? I am not sure. Clearly, I, or no one else has all the answers. It fits every description to the letter. City on 7 hills, scarlet and purple, many nations, tongues, and peoples. I know this may not sit well with you but dig deeper and pray about it. Good study! I was thinking NY, UN headquaarters...but this study has been enlightening. Thanks for your insight Darrell. Wasn't Jesus saying "get behind me satan" to Peter's flesh, ie:satan. Because Peter was reacting out of selfishness.? He was not filled with satan.  He forgave Peter later when He asked the three questions of taking care of the flock./sheep..

I don't know who Mystery Babylon is HOWEVER, I do think it will just be the world system that mixed all of the Mystery religions in with the culture.Will there be a center to it all?I don't know.But I put my trust in God.
