  • This guitar intro, do me remember Here Comes The Sun... I'm the only one?

  • One of my favorite bands EVER!

  • I love The Church..Best Australian Band..ever..I do like this song..It's great..not one of 'their' favourites I don't think..hmmm...I probably will never get to see them again..but I have been to more of their gigs than most people..a long time ago now..Oh well...I have great memories..:)

  • Ascending Aussie Amazing Band.

    Went Last Night.

    Excellent Concert.

  • Sorta like Snow Patrol nowadays...but better.

  • Killer tune - thanks for posting this video!

  • Music is an art form, and this is a paragon of it's genre!

  • oldie but a goodie!..

  • blast from the past!!!

  • this was done live, i think - or at least live-ish.... bloody brilliant!!!!

  • Love the Church!

  • this song is on sing star

  • Brilliant song by a great band. Steve, thank you for your dedication to truth. See you in a high place somewhere where there is no more suffering the ignorance of fools.

  • Grab the audio from this track at thetunify doht cohm.

  • got this day of release..& all other Church / Kilbey / Wilson-Piper solo stuff. all brilliant !!

  • congralutions the church for making it into the australian rock and roll hall of fame great speech steve

  • I love the way Steve sings on this version; so much passion in the chorus lines!

  • I noticed people from down under were always a blast to hang out with, um...compared to the Germans trolling the streets of Pattaya for god knows what. Would prob. not mind the Germans so much but they're breath was always so terrible. Ciggaretts and booze and Thai food and obviously no toothbrush. But cracker it's all good.

  • up to 11 boys!

  • proud to be australian!!!!!!!!

  • Great find! The Church actually seems to be playing live, or at least the vocals, which is very rare for music videos. I'm a dormant Church fan and have all their vinyl LPs and CDs up to 2002 and this video reminds me how good their music is--and how bad the current pop music are!

  • bigger in Europe than Oz??!

  • they stole the guitar melody line from the Beatles' vocal line in Day Tripper....but I like it anyway

  • @nudgler Music is about 'borrowing' from others. The Beatles did it . . . it being part of the Rock tradition and the borrowing is the DNA they all share

  • @Studmasterify I realize that. I played in bands for almost 40 years. It was just an observation and I said "but I like it anyway"

  • peter rocks, when peter was a teacher at Music Industry Collage he taught me the way of The Church love you peter

  • I seem to remember buying a paisley shirt on the strength of seeing this on TV!

  • Great band, great song.

  • Someone should campaign for The Church to get the recognition they deserve

  • They still doing it very well lately... "After everything now this LP" and "Forget Yourself LP" are simply gorgeous. Have anybody heard the "acoustic" version of this song in "El momento descuidado LP" ? I thinks it's even better... Anyway, Long life to The Church !!

  • i once read (how about the late 80's, lol) that they stopped playing this song in their concerts. wonder if they still don't.

  • Ohhh yessss.....Thanks for posting.

  • I know he's Aussie, but sounds a little like David Bowie (not that I'm a Bowie fan but I'm a huge Church fan). Great band but under rated.

  • My step dads guitar was used in this, he and Steve were friends :D They worked together but he had to leave to become a big star

  • Absolutely love this song! I was so annoyed when I couldn't buy it individually on itunes. I think a couple of tears gathered in my eyes... I do love The Church

  • @jenjen2194

I have it on cassette! :P

  • Sadly underrated .. this and the most beautiful 'Under the Milky Way' ...

  • I still have the album on vinyl. An overlooked classic and this is the first time I've heard a live version. thanks for the upload, Caiofons.

  • rhythm....sorry...

  • Don't worry

this is one of the most underrated groups from

    the 80:s

  • i love the church,,,they dont love us

  • i luv the fact the rythm git player IS from the wirral!!

  • What a great band who have done Australia proud. I have always loved this song

  • damn!

    The Church rocks!!

  • A very special song, both in lyrics and tune,

but maybe most a memory form a sailing in Sweden summer ´82..

    Awesome anyway!

  • @MazterGuitarz Yeah i agree, it's absolutely brilliant.

Even a bad memory of the glorious 80's is great!!!

  • @wha65

lol, true but was'nt the the 80:s the best??

No, but there were a lot of "new" kind of muzic and approaches to the old rockscene? A different angle?

Anyway, good muzic is God muzic, isn't it?

  • Herad this on the radio last week and the DJ (Vega Sydney) said The Church had only just singing it again afte ??? years. It is a top song and the Churcvh are so under rated. Get out and see them and support them. Onya champs!

  • East europe? It´s from a Swedish show called Casablanca...

  • they're still together and making albums. really good ones

  • Ahhhh the sound of a Ric.

  • bands like this are few and far between now... lyrics, musicianship...

  • WONDERFUL! Makes me ache a bit for my youth. Great song and band. Miss them.

  • I saw there last live gig with Pete Koopes in Perth Australia. Top band in their day.

  • no their jokes ...don't make me laugh ... they only make me feel like dying. Talk about intensity.

  • Another classic!! The Church your one fine god d**m band long may you reign.

  • Cheers for sending me this mate,One of my all time favourite songs!

Remember when we used to muck about with this at our band practices,we used to keep the Unguarded Moment chorus at the end of the songs going for about 20 minutes cos it was so magic especially with the backing vocals,Ha Ha Happy Days!

Their still going & Steve Kilbey is a fantastic musicain/songwriter & is very much part of our musical upbringing!

Thank You Steve & Thank You "The Church"!

  • I sqw them at the Marquee, London, must have been early 80's - brilliant!

  • Oh man, didn't get into them until 1988 when they became slighty big in the USA. Been a loyal fan ever since. Never saw a live version of this song until now.

  • ha, omg i cant belive theres church stuff on here...youtube is the best ^^ wish there more songs uploaded ^^

  • replying to rn68, how does Australia get to have a good band?

  • this fuckin rocks!!!

  • how does a brazilian dude get a selection of church rarities like these????

  • they were pretty big down here during the eighties, especially between surfers...

  • Classic Church song- one of the best.
