I love The Church..Best Australian Band..ever..I do like this song..It's great..not one of 'their' favourites I don't think..hmmm...I probably will never get to see them again..but I have been to more of their gigs than most people..a long time ago now..Oh well...I have great memories..:)
Brilliant song by a great band. Steve, thank you for your dedication to truth. See you in a high place somewhere where there is no more suffering the ignorance of fools.
I noticed people from down under were always a blast to hang out with, um...compared to the Germans trolling the streets of Pattaya for god knows what. Would prob. not mind the Germans so much but they're breath was always so terrible. Ciggaretts and booze and Thai food and obviously no toothbrush. But cracker it's all good.
Great find! The Church actually seems to be playing live, or at least the vocals, which is very rare for music videos. I'm a dormant Church fan and have all their vinyl LPs and CDs up to 2002 and this video reminds me how good their music is--and how bad the current pop music are!
@nudgler Music is about 'borrowing' from others. The Beatles did it . . . it being part of the Rock tradition and the borrowing is the DNA they all share
They still doing it very well lately... "After everything now this LP" and "Forget Yourself LP" are simply gorgeous. Have anybody heard the "acoustic" version of this song in "El momento descuidado LP" ? I thinks it's even better... Anyway, Long life to The Church !!
Absolutely love this song! I was so annoyed when I couldn't buy it individually on itunes. I think a couple of tears gathered in my eyes... I do love The Church
Herad this on the radio last week and the DJ (Vega Sydney) said The Church had only just singing it again afte ??? years. It is a top song and the Churcvh are so under rated. Get out and see them and support them. Onya champs!
Cheers for sending me this mate,One of my all time favourite songs!
Remember when we used to muck about with this at our band practices,we used to keep the Unguarded Moment chorus at the end of the songs going for about 20 minutes cos it was so magic especially with the backing vocals,Ha Ha Happy Days!
Their still going & Steve Kilbey is a fantastic musicain/songwriter & is very much part of our musical upbringing!
Oh man, didn't get into them until 1988 when they became slighty big in the USA. Been a loyal fan ever since. Never saw a live version of this song until now.
This guitar intro, do me remember Here Comes The Sun... I'm the only one?

I know he's Aussie, but sounds a little like David Bowie (not that I'm a Bowie fan but I'm a huge Church fan). Great band but under rated.

lol, true but was'nt the the 80:s the best??
No, but there were a lot of "new" kind of muzic and approaches to the old rockscene? A different angle?
Anyway, good muzic is God muzic, isn't it?
