  • irony is the fact that he could have gotten $20 mil in a second if he'd lived

  • Amazing. So sad he's passed away

  • This interview is so bad ass. Patrice speaks from the heart as always and Bennington asks stuff that truly matters as opposed to simply making small talk like others interviewers usually do.

  • very appreciative of this post, thanks. Glad he did an interview like this before he passed.

  • One of the greatest. He is a Black guy that gets it.

  • Great fondness for philosophical comics... Patrice was definitely on some profound bullshit or maybe pointed out our collective bullshit in a profound manner. At any rate, thanks for the humor, PO. Shine on, player!

  • RIP

  • @XxDopethronexX Unfortunately, I won't be able to see him at a show. This has happened several times now: A performer with TRUE skills passes away, and it is only upon hearing of their death that I watch YourTube vids and get to appreciate them ;(

  • RIP

  • Man maybe if he'd done celebrity fit club, he'd still be alive. Gosh Patrice you left us way to soon.

  • Wow... I can't believe I missed it COMPLETELY before he's gone.

I enjoy this... Patrice thinks, AND he's funny.

Rest In Peace, Patrice. Now I gotta catch up on what I completely missed out on. AGAIN.

  • R.I.P big trice

  • 2 uh whoppers with cheese. one of the greats

  • RIP Patrice O'Neal

  • RIP

  • RIP Patrice....you will be missed

  • Pull through for us patrice! Your the best!

  • goddamn I hope we dont lose Patrice,

  • There is literally not a single "personality / entertainer" out there that the news of a debilitating stroke would have had me more sad.

Worse than if it were Artie Lang or Dakota fanning. Prayers to Patrice and to us all.

  • Patrice is so smart, so funny, and so black, it's a mystery why he hasn't hit yet...

  • @cantilever You answered your own question.

  • @artothat Not to be argumentative, but Rock, Pryor, Chappelle, Murphy, and Cosby have all the same attributes and all hit BIG. Patrice is/was on the same plane of funny, but he isn't famous. Only the cognoscenti know how enormously talented he is/was. He was lacking something--probably just that random break. My comment was written before his stroke, and I think now he'll never hit...tragic...

  • People must admit that some comedians are geniuses. They create thought and philosophy, just being informed is not impressive.

  • He's funny, but Patrice is like everyone in the O&A universe. A cold, heartless person with no compassion or empathy for any other human on the face of the planet, who probably laughs at the thought of dead children and atrocities done in other countries. But he's funny.

  • @MotherNikita

That statement was an easy indicator you obviously don't listen to Patrice.

  • @paulegf He's not really that deep, I can understand what he says when he talks. I haven't listened to alot of newer stuff that he's done on O&A (or otherwise), maybe he's gotten more liberal or something?

  • @MotherNikita

Didn't say he was too deep for you. You summed him up as a "cold, heartless person with no compassion or empathy for any other human on the face of the planet" If you really listened to him, you hear that he actually "feels" A LOT while he's on air. He's just has a stark honesty about him that may make him come off as cold hearted but there are plenty of clips where he is more understanding than I think a lot of people would be in his shoes....

  • @paulegf Yeah, he isn't deep, I really don't think anyone is. I do think he is cold hearted and his honesty shows it. (Not to say he has no emotion or feelings, I know he's human, I was just exaggerating to be an asshole) Why does being honest somehow make your cruelty to others less worse and justifiable? Explain that. Also, I'd like some examples (suggest some videos?) of his 'feelings' on the show (or anywhere else).

  • @paulegf I just realized I read that first sentence wrong. I know you weren't implying he was deep or anything, I just wanted to write that to see how you'd respond. I'm an ass, I know.

  • im 18 and still like him, i also like louis ck, bill maher, george lopez, paul mooney, dave, and many others

  • Patrice ONeal is one of the most creative artists out there. I hope he stays within his path. Different from Chappelle. He has a purpose

  • he is so right about the pompousness and stupidity of british comedy

  • When was this recorded?

  • 7-5-11Who Knew? Very Informative! Good Facts! I figure He's been around& Patrice said 1998. So somewhere's I never heard of him! I work in the Music Industry & I'll find bands NOT known here & from England! Patrice lived there. (Yo..where's your 'Beatles' -'Madonna' accent?:D) 1st heard on Comedy Central on 7-3-11!

(which is probably an old show) Brilliant! Does He write his own material,Or have staffwriters? NOW 'LETTERMAN' is a King!Forgot2mention w/ Pryor&Carlin& Don Rickles!DON'sKING80+!

  • Patrice is the most real celebrity I have heard of ever. He is himself, righteous. Anyone who can't respect that has never struggled. There is the people who have "Made it" and those that haven not. Patrice is heavy.

  • patrice is the best comic alive if he changed his attitude maybe he cud b as big as chris rock

  • I cant find his podcast anywhere???

  • @mbpofficial Look up "black phillip show".

  • What I love about this right here is that you really get to see how insightful Patrice is. We all know he's a funny motherfucker but he really has an interesting vision on life and comedy too. it kinda reminds me of the 3 hour show Opie and Anthony let Louis CK do all by himself, you get the same kind of peek inside his mind. Nice upload man!

  • Nice upload. Bout time Patrice made a special. He ain't gonna be known if he won't put shit out with his name on it all the time. He deserves to be a big name.

Yeah I am kissing his black ass, but I love the motha fucka.

  • @Athhippie do you mind if i listen to this vid?i dont want to bother you if you're trying to be alone with Patrice...i could just listen to it later then

  • definitely one the funniest comics I've seen. Underrated as hell

  • when was this

  • agreed.how this guy isnt a house hold name is ridiculous.he is one of the funniest guys out there.

  • sheer brilliance
