Some mistakes in this video: 1) The main language during Jesus' lifetime wasn't Greek, but Latin. The Gospels were written in Greek because it was more 'scholarly' & Galilee (from where Jesus got most of his disciples) had been a Greek colony. 2) Jesus wasn't an 'Hebrew'; that term refers to ancient Hebrews, the 12 tribes of Israel, 'lost' after Solomon's reign & slavery under the Babylonians & Assyrians. Even if Iesous is a Greek transliteration of Yehoshua, which is even fairly close in sound; Jesus isn't similar to either.

The letter 'J' may be a fairly new letter to the English Alphabet but that is because it was introduced when compiling the 1st official English Dictionary so that spellings could be standardised and understood, E.G ending the use of the letter 'f' to denote the lower case 's'.
Just because the pictoral 'J' symbol wasnt in use that does not mean that the sound it denotes wasn't in use before the symbols invention.

Some mistakes in this video: 1) The main language during Jesus' lifetime wasn't Greek, but Latin. The Gospels were written in Greek because it was more 'scholarly' & Galilee (from where Jesus got most of his disciples) had been a Greek colony. 2) Jesus wasn't an 'Hebrew'; that term refers to ancient Hebrews, the 12 tribes of Israel, 'lost' after Solomon's reign & slavery under the Babylonians & Assyrians. That is because there is a difference between being a Christian who is Greek or otherwise and a Greek Christian...it is a matter of whether their religious heritage ceased or remained upon conversion. @DL041783 by your reference to Wescott-Hort, I am guessing you read the KJV translation. Just so you know, the Alexandrian manuscripts were not available to the KJV translators at the time of when they were doing the translation. Furthermore, Antioch had its share of pagans in their area as well. Finally, it has been proven that the KJV translators used sources other than the Textus Receptus such as the Septuagint and other English translations such as Geneva, Bishops, and Tyndale.

I am sorry and i do not wish to offend but the fact that the New Testament which is another false Greek translation of B'rit Hadashah really should mean the New Covenant which renews the original Covenant ( even better than the first ) were both given to the Jewish people the role of the Elect Gods chosen people was to be a light to the world. (non Jews ) to say that God inspired the Greek New Testament is a little silly as Greek Chistianity is full of Pagan practice and inacurate translation.

I am suprised to see so many non-jewish people out there trying to be like the legalistic Jews of Jesus' time. Even many of them came to the understanding that God do't show favoritism, and salvation is for both jews and gentiles. You yourselves are not Jewish, so stop trying to become one and telling others they have to be to be saved. That is extremely legalistic, and well just stupid.

We are told in the Bible to test the spirits, to know wether they are from God or not. Any spirit that denies His flesh or speaks contrare to Scripture is not from God. The only time you will hear evil spirits use the name Jesus is to do one or the other...any way they can to point away from Him and the work of the cross. They despise that name when it is used to glorify Him or when used agaimst them, and they manifest and leave upon command in Jesus'name.

Easter "appeared" in there accurately, because that was a pagan holiday celebrated by the pagans in the region. The name is not what saves your soul-He saves you when you believe in Him and obey Him as the scriptures say. Tell me, if gentiles were to be reached as well by the Gospel, how would the disciples have done it if they only used/spoke in Hebrew? Or are you suggesting that the Disciples spoke many languages, and that after conversion all gentiles are required to learn and speak Hebrew?

Jesus was not born on Dec. 25th, and according to scripture it has been reasoned clearly that he was not born in winter either. Christ mass, as it was originally called by The Roman Catholic Church, is just one of all these pagan holidays celebrated today that the Catholic Church put their spin on. The early Christians prior to this never celebrated any of these holidays. We are forbid to follow pagan practices, and also to worship God in their way. Look it up.

Some may say that the ten commandments was written by the Creators own finger. Who knows weather this is fact or not, most of these laws dwells within the hearts of all flesh, some obey their conscience some don't. I find studying variations in different languages fascinating! It's gotten to where I can almost always identify the language being used, the correlating term in eng. and span. and sometimes other languages I barely know anything about. It's the COMMONALITIES that are a gift from God, as well as the precious diversity. Some folks can't STAND anything "different", and can't find the commonality in things to save their own lives.

conversely, there is indeed a semantics issue in matters of faith. arguing about the letter J is a handy device for those who would keep us from contemplating the deeper truths. semantics/terminology is a huge reason why the world is in an uproar over every little thing, becuase they use certain terms designed to confuse, distract, etc., or they ACCEPT certain terminology without knowing what it really means, or MEANT at the time it was originally used in scripture, etc.....

great observations,using the SIMPLE LOGIC I love so much. It's not about a name, it's about the RELATIONSHIP,the MESSAGE. I can call my dog Cat if I feel like it, but it doesn't change the fact that it's a dog. I can call it perro inSpanish;my cat I can call gato or chat,but it's still a cat. I will say however, that people's lack of understanding of deeper meanings of every syllable,letter,etc.,in all languages,is a big reason why few people really understand much of anything about anything.
