  • its not ante war its ante saying that war is glorious or anything along those lines wilfred owen was not ageist the war he was ageist the glorification of it and that the politicians did not end it sooner there is a suttle difference but it is in that difference we understand him and why he wrote the poems he did if you want prof of what I have sad look at his suvise records and the poem the parable of the old man and the yung

  • norr, got whip your self with your anal beads

  • You did a very good job! Do you like theater? I think you've a talent, nice voice and expression of words.

  • well read!

  • Listening to you read this reminds me of my A level literature classes that I still miss. Love this poem as it speaks the truth about war, and paints ugly graphic images that the world need to see. The United Nations should have more power to prevent war. The world is united now, leaders of each country should be employed by the United Nations, and major decisions should be made through them. We are one world.

    A passionate reading.

  • Omgg well wilfred died 4 days before the war ended and on the day of celebration when the bells were ringing there was a doorbell at hs mam and dads house and she was given a telegraph saying that her son had died!! Ohh so sad :'(

  • finally a non american voice that pays credit to Wilfred Owen's poems. Spoken well and with passion, it pays due to the suffering that many needlessly endured.

  • Good reading, well done fella!

  • I luv dis. dun it in ma english class, man its beautiful

  • Beautiful sencerity. I did this poem for an Eisteddfod last week. I'm Australian, so I found it really powerful to hear it in an English accent. It seems 'right'. I love the way you said 'my friend'. Probably could've done with a few longer pauses here and there to let those disturbing images sink in for a new audience. Otherwise, the communication was wonderful, with a real depth and stillness that I found thought provoking.

  • thank you for your moving recitation.. W.O is timeless..

  • I think this poem is brilliant. I wish more people would read it. I think about it every time I look at a war memorial.
