Hurricane Hugo and Marylin

I was there when it hit I was 19 living at Miller Manor right in Charlote Amalie - I wasn't even there but 2 weeks and Hugo hit - I remember everyone having a Hurricane party and thinking hell with that! I am getting prepared - I then called home AZ - The news cam out and put my mom on tv - The next morning I went downtown sh*t everywhere - It was the first time I seen get taken down by a cop with a loaded shotgun 10ft from me - the upside - I made $1,000 a week for a whole year straight!

lost a sailboat in both storms (thanks to the other guy) ... house sitting on Nadir Hill during Hugo ... roof peeled off early on, and the rest was a sky show until daybreak

I was five years old when Marilyn hit St. Thomas. We were living in Lindbergh Bay at the time. Our house got flooded and we had to go to the shelter at Moravian by Nisky. Something i'll never forget.

I lived and went through Hugo on Cassi Hill. Thanks for the Memories!! 10 weeks without power. not too bad, I guess.

(in st. croix) i wasnt alive for hugo, but for marylin, i was like 4/5...i remember hiding in my closet cuddling my dog at the time lol

Hull Bay in deh middle a Hugo!!! Yall are crazy. I stayed with a cuz in Hull Bay for a semester and it was mad crazy getting there without a hurricane!!

Hey I used to live in Hull Bay! .. I rode out Marylin in the Hotel 1829 and lived there at the Hotel for 4 months after..No power, no running water, gunshots all night long,car alarms going off all the time,screams in the middle of the night..It was like the frickin wild wild west!
