thank you for this. I've been watching other videos and found that the keys to easy success, planetary fortress, tech reactor, auto-repair etc etc were all out of my reach(wrong decisions in research), but still managed to pull it off with your guide after a few tries. It amazes me how smart your unit composition and your unit/bunker/turret placements are, my earlier tries were all lose to bad timing, bad building order on different bunker positions etc, anyway you have my thanks
Impressive considering you were constantly forgetting to make units and don't know how to use hotkeys. If you learned how to do that you might be diamond.
@Zefurion1988 Thats just hilarious. Half decent computers can handle intense games on ultra with ease. Heck, my five year old laptop runs ultra just fine.
@Dashawn628 Depends on the resolution. I played the whole campaign on Ultra, while running a C2D E6750, an 8800 GT and 4 GB DDR II. Its all overclocked, but it doesn't change the fact that its a 4y old system.
Difference to you is that you proly played it at 1920x1200 or higher, i used 1680x1050, and the guy on the laptop proly even lower than that.
Cut rez, and you get fps, alot more than you would cutting some effect from ultra to medium or low.
You idiots, every pro player plays with the graphics settings set to the lowest possible. If you were ever in a diamond match you would realize that there would be so many units fighting on screen that even the best rigs couldn't even run the thing without lag.
@Zefurion1988 TBH you're the only idiot here, when you state such things.
A said "pro", higher standards player, only gonna cut the gfx till he gets the desired FPS average, allowing for faster/fastest response. Ofc, lower specs, lower gfx.
You have proof all over youtube, just look around. There are plenty of diamond matches and at points, 400 units or so on the screen, and its just flowing like its nothing and on high to ultra graphics in alot of said videos.
@Zefurion1988 what?! lol the best rigs could handle a 4v4 games on high setting without lag m8, maybe if there were a huge amount of "special" attacks (for use of a better word) it would lag but the current gen of pc run this fairly easily i mean my 3 year old min spec laptop can run this game lol
@messi996 Look what i mean to say is, if in a game you are playing vs 7 brutal enemies in a skirmish for example, at the late stage of the game they will constantly attack you with literally hundreds of units each, and you will often have to fight more than 2 armies at a time. With that many units on screen it is very difficult to micromanage correctly if you have lag, therefore in tournament matches the setting is reduced to the lowest to reduce the chance of lag...
@Zefurion1988 i agree but the pros play 1v1 not ffa, and no army in a 1v1 will make a computer that cost more then say 1500 euro to make lag(assuming you bought the right parts ) also pros will play it on certain setting because it will let them see stuff more clearly for example in wow i believe it was ensidia that release a boss guide for a very hard high end boss and said but settings to low as it makes it easier to see certain things and thus help performance, sc2 pros will do the same
This strategy works, I've tried it out on brutal. Basically he had 7 bunkers filled with upgraded ghosts and 5 scvs repairing them throughout. So a ghost, marine infantry strategy works well as long as you deal with kerrigan and the broodlords effectively.
In order to get less "mental lag" with your own brain during the important games and react and think faster, you should also learn this trick of using the lowest graphic settings possible as I do with my pretty decent graphic card.
I played some custom map where I needed to explore with SCV and quickly react to the random units enemy and my response depended on the type of the units and on what the units are behind (like cloud of Brood Lords or so) and what the structures are there
So, it made the difference, whether I needed to make the extra efforts to recognize the image, or the image was simplified and easy to recognize. Half a sec here, half a sec there...
@mrnoob62 Not when there are OP Broodlords hounding your ass from all sides! >< That's the ONLY reason I chose to take out air on my first run of the campaign... Cause Broodlords are beyond annoying to deal with. Having Mutas out too just made it the most obviously easy choice... I think they should've left Mutas in the ground version so you can't go around with Banshees to pop Nydus Worms and would have to use weak ass Wraiths.
its deceiving but he has marines in a few bunkers early with the range upgrade. Also the first few waves on brutal are not that hard. and it was not only 5 marines... he also had 3 battlecruisers at the artifact until the flanking waves started to come
Please somebody post this mission without ghosts, mind control, planetary fortress, etc. Just marines, vikings and other normal stuff. I have lost too often this way, I give up...
He is doing it the hard way with those ghost & snipes, which requires lots of micro. I can beat those broodlords easily with a team of vikings (fully upgraded), with barracks blocking the 2 choke points & some fire turrets & tanks behind for zergling it's super-easy. Kerrigan can be fucked easily with stimpack marines.
But honestly I think the air version of All-in is more messy to deal with than the ground version.
@bta1987 Wait a second, you go all vikings? I thought about that but, not sure. So marines and vikings and have the vikings flying all around the map? Could you clarify a little more what you did? I am so tired of getting owned in the 70's and 80's on the artifact.
@TheJuston1977 Here's how: Keep a good team of vikings (at least 12) to get rid of broodlords (be alert, look @ minimap & response quick, save game often so u know where/when they will attack). Build turrets around artifacts. Tanks should cluster in the middle. Build barracks in front of the tanks. Keep a reserved team of 30-40 marines (to stim & fuck off Kerrigan), only 1 or 2 medivac is needed. You MUST use the artifact when the mass overlords come! Prioritize weapon upgrades to level 3 asap.
@BELATUBE Actually 3 per mineral patch is optimal, so 24 would be the best number, but you have to account for needing to take SCVs away for building, repairing and such.
Would this work with spectrums!?!?!?! I dont want to start over (again)

@TheJuston1977 Btw, u should make about 20 more scvs to fully saturate the mining.
Also, having these armory upgrades will make this mission a piece of cake.
-Regenerative biosteel
-Structure fire automatically put out
-All viking/marine/SCV/tank/bunker/turret upgrades
-Psi Disruptor (slowing nearby zerg units)
-Depot drop
-Automatic refinery
Don't waste money on half-ass units like firebat or marauder. They're cool but not for brutal mode. Marines/tank/viking ftw!
