Hey Sarah. I'm a Film student too. There's alot to analyze abt this video. There r couple of mistakes, more like carelessness. a lot can be improve on the sound as well. I will not comment much on the footage wise since u guyz were only using HandyCam without tripod n lightings .We can discus more on BlofTv, if we see again nex time.. Great Job.. Keep chasing your dreams..

I read on filmforum that ya wanted to go to filmschool,

so I thought that a littlebit advice from a film student wouldn't hurt :)

-keep tempo: a mistake made by many, a video must be fast so it doesn't gets bored

-montage on the music: cut the shots on the music, wich means, when there's a beat, or a ping, or a sudden noise

-sound fx: most important thing for a vid is that is sounds right

-do not give up: follow ur passion

-subscribe to my chanel (optional :p)

great, great ! congratulations ! some attention to some details is what you miss. For example the lady with her dog in the background destroys the scene in the beginning or the musical selection at the end that doesn't fit with the rest of the film. But obviously you have great talent !

This is to add on to my previous message. You might want to include the songs you use so that way people will not throw this off the internet (because you have Metric and they could for any reason take it down it you don't acknowledge the music). Just to let you know.

Also, your transitions were pretty good and the makesup as well. Overall, nice job and for a first time great!

@annzie1991 "panning" is a term used when you move a camera from one side to another from the left to the right, or right to left. Sometimes it is just for 180 degrees, sometimes less or more. But that is the general meaning of the word.

A few things and this is from a film perspective, and I know you are amateurs...

Some panning was a bit too much, could have used a bit less or not as fast.

It was nice a dramatic, which is good but for the bride her face was kind of one note, and didn't really change except for the last part of the movie. I know it was devastation and revenge, but there could have been a little more emotion or ways to show it.
