Highly underrated. Extremely relevant & unfortunately prevalent. Although this film was not necessarily centered around a fraternity, it still accurately depicts how 'they' get down. I've heard crazy stories about the trifling things these Black Greeks do. And I know of women who have been victimized by the likes of ignorant oversexed boys as portrayed in this film. I own the DVD & I never miss an opportunity to share this film w/ others.
is the rape scene graphic in this movie? im only asking, because it looks like a good movie, but rape scenes is something I try my hardest to stay away from, and if i catch this movie sometime,i would like to know wether its bad or not.
Females and males alike can get a lot from this film. One of the biggest problems in society today is the lack of respect that the current generation has for one another, especially on the dating tip. The characters in the film are not just black characters, they are any character u.s.a.
"Train Ride" is far superior to some of the more popular black films released in the last several years. I honestly cannot think of 10 black films of the past decade that are better than this one.
Remember Natalie Holloway, the girl who went to Aruba and disappeared forever? I bet the same things that happened in this film happened to her. If her parents had seen this film before letting her go over there, that tragedy could have been avoided.
Saw this when it screened at The Milton Hershey High School in Harrisburg. It made a tremendous impact and opened many eyes (students, faculty, and parents) that were previously closed.
Great film with great performances. Forgot Lyte was a rapper. Wood Harris was a super villain. Good to see a film with African-American characters have a universal and different storyline.
I bought this DVD 2 years ago because MC Lyte is in it, she did well up until she had the crying scene. That imo was the worst acting I had ever seen, all of the other stuff she did in the Movie was good.

Film could save a lot of young people's lives. Often times young people allow themselves to be raised by everyone but their parents.

This film packs a punch. Very realistic. Reminds me of what's happening at a lot of schools.
