  • Orion used that slogan for their torrenting in 2003.

  • '...Where the stars come out at night'. Soap Opera cast members must hate that line.

  • Very nice, classy 1990's nostalgia in 5 seconds!

  • nice job petrick stewart

  • Hey, that's the guy who plays the voice of "B" from "Tearjerker". Some other spoof from the movie "Goldfinger".

  • two british versions of american channels closed, ABC = ABC1 closed, NBC = NBC Europe closed, I would prefer to watch shows on a channel that is owned by the same company in the US, the only successful one has been FX UK which I have now probably jinxed and will be closing soon.

  • ABC has a channel in the UK.

  • ABC1 closed in September 2007.

  • They closed because they couldn't get full broadcast hours on Freeview digital terrestrial television in the United Kingdom.

  • NBC in Europe? I thought NBC was brodcasted only in the United States, while the U.K. had the BBC.

  • Somehow someway, NBC been expanding like CNBC have.

  • Yeah.

Of course, NBC and their parent company, GE owns CNBC.

  • Whoa! I didn't know that.

  • In an ironic note, the famous "NBC" chimes that date back to 1929 are the notes G,E,C, the initials of NBC's present owners, General Electric Corporation.

  • @MrUnidyne And that's "ironic" why? I don't think your brain quite knows what ironic means. Nice try though.

  • Yep, they took over Superchannel in 1993 and to begin with, it was called NBC Superchannel but by the time the station ended in 1998, it was called NBC Europe.
