most people in todays music think that this is a bunch of noise, but they are wrong.it takes raw talent to play the way these guys did, they didn't have computers to make them sound good.they were good.
This song takes me back to the days when I was a young man. This song came out in 1959 and it was playing on the radio of my robin egg blue '57 chev one Friday evening when I was on the way to pick up my girl....Great memories. Thanks for posting!
@dmize23235 My best to your dad. I have this 45 + the LP. Your dad also did a 45 called "Until", a very haunting ballad. I think I have everything he or the group released. I guess we have to hand it to Jess Duboy also, his "woo hoos' on this 45 were pretty dog gone good. Ronnie Salyer (Richmond, Virginia)
@sldfjkhals ...hello my friend...yes until was a record he did with ''vic and the versitiles'' it was backed with ''i can't wait till summer'' cool songs, both of them....
@1rockerguy Yes, I remember when this hit it big. Being from Richmond I ran right out and bought the 45 & subsequent LP. I also recall seeing them on TV here in Richmond on Roy Lamont's Dance Party, channel 12. Great days & great memories! Ronnie Salyer (Richmond, Virginia)
This song really makes me wanna dance

@axedrecista The first verse I find deeply offensive, but the second is indeed evocative of my life. I suspect two people worked on the lyrics.
