Mortimer was very talented to write stuff like this from such a young age, if he wrote this which I suspect he did then he did it perfectly to fit him and harvey's voice. This or One direction? This any day. The energy in the 90s was way better from boy bands. The only group that I can think of today that have this kind of energy are JLS, but they are of course completely different.

I can still recall when I first heard this jam back in da day... I was a seasoned king of the streets. Anyway, I was chillin with my homies, an someone cranked this hot new joint from London. We all stopped, looked amongst ourselves, & were forced to face this question: Why we all focused on GANG BANGIN' when we could be CLUB BANGIN'? Well, the answer was obvious! Guess the House of Love was more like an Apt of Love, or a Condo of Love, but it was a blissful month indeed. Shame it had to end, like all good things. I even heard this guys met a tragic demise. One of the cruelest ironies in pop history is the troubled yet inexorable connection that exists between Brian Harvey & East 17 as a unit. IMO, East 17 are nothing w/out Brian & his sassy vocal stylings. However, Brian's solo music falls flat to me, so he, in turn, is nothing w/out Tony Mortimers hot to death jams. It's a shame the two hate each other so. I lament this loss to the music world every night as I weep into my pillow & vacantly pet my kitty cat Misty's soft fur, all to no avail!

They should take heed from their own words in this seminal jam & build a house of love before the world explodes. Still it's one of the greatest inter band rivalries in pop music history and I believe the underlying tension was a catalyst in forging these two great artists talents together into pure tunage.
