  • Elvis' voice was so powerful here.We actually take his vocal power for granted because it's Elvis, but if you listen hard and watch closely it's an unbelievable performance vocally, especially when he really lets go.This is why he's The King.

  • this is the elvis i would loved to have seen live, at the top of his game, nothing comes close.I was only 11 yrs old at the time tho.

  • I think his 50s version was better. He was never the same when he really got into the prescription drugs. And that was a dam shame.

  • @buddimack He was actually never the same after his Mother passed away.

  • still watch on vhs long live the king

  • the man got better with age!! love it!!

  • I also like his Hampton Roads live version of Lawdy Miss Clawdy better than his Memphis live version from 1974. Something about the slower jazz blues pace of the Hampton Roads 1972 live versions give them more better distinct character feel sound to them.

  • love that band and orchestra, backup singers. all of them. superb!

  • i love this man!!! brilliant! but why does it seem he looked pail on the 72 tour. i mean its the only tour he looked so white because he usually was pretty tan. and his voice didnt have as much punch to it as it did on all the other tours in the 70's. i dont know i just watched that elvis still being alive conspiracy video and makes me wonder cuz he was a federal agent and all. almost wonder if he had look alike and sound alikes do his work.... no thats upsered of me to say. but im just sayin.

  • Most of the songs Elvis did the best in 1970 but this performance at Hampton Roads, 1972 tops any other "I got a woman" I've seen.

  • Elvis and the band ABSOLUTELY ON FIRE HERE.UNBELIEVABLE.

  • The MAN literally re-invented himself without even really trying! The '70's Elvis is a performer who had come full circle & proved that he was indeed the total package. There's a reason they call him THE KING!

  • AWESOME! **********

    Lov`n `ELVIS!!!

  • I BRANI INTERPRETATI DA ELVIS... O LE SUE CANZONI... CAVALLO DI BATTAGILA NEGLI ANNI SONO STATE MIGLòIORATE...

  • the backup singers, and the band r in top form here.

  • Fantastic. Thanks for posting

  • One dislike? Of course, I see, you gotta pig way across town...

  • good but i liked his 50s version better.

  • @buddimack Sorry man but music sound and style changes in the real world and universe. Just like everyone and everything else except God.

  • One of my favorite Elvis hits, this one with a great back-up of singers.

Loved the original by him, but this version also excels. ELVIS is a Music Icon!!!

With talent in excess. Rock or Gospel - he owned them both!

  • Outstanding performance

  • WATCH THE BEST...."SHSKIN STEVENS".......SONG, "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU & IT'S RAINING........THE KING~~

  • Electrifying performance, he truly is the king, we won't ever see anybody with this talent ever again

  • What man on Earth wouldn't want to be ELVIS for a day.....the coolest cat to ever live.

  • @SPOOKSTR

No just Elvis in one day. Mick Jager or Hugh Hefner still lives. And thats the life. Got a be Joe Namoth at leaste once a day live for success. But thats just me. It's not a act just white lies. And people say i saw Elvis in the break room.

  • amazing !!!!!! THANKS FOR THESE great VIDEOS !!!!

  • It's amazing how even today E (elvis) still speaks to us today.

  • @berryboo4 arent we all screwed up.

in fact isnt the whole world screwed up a lot today.

the whole world has been screwed up a lot for a longtime.

music is screwed up a lot today and has been for a longtime.

nascar chase format today is screwed up a lot and has been for a longtime. in fact everything from a-z today is screwed up a lot today and has been for a longtime.

  • Elvis is the King !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like Ray AND Elvis does that make me a criminal?

  • All the way up his difficult 70ies Elvis proved that he - at his best - was a stage performer second to none!

  • Oghia--check Ron out on the Roy Orbison "black and white" concert on U-tube

  • Ron has to be the hardest working drummer in showbusiness.

  • @radarman818 Totally agree! I think he is one of the best drummers ever EVER! I have watched him a ton and wow he is just great, he is making me want to take up drumming I tell ya...

  • every song of him is good such nice hyper rithem you don;t hear this kind of rithem no more these days

  • @BBQFanNo1 They will be talking about all the 50's rock stars more then they will the people that are singing today. All the people you mentioned recorded songs that are memorable. Todays singers don't do that.

  • What is he singin at 1:06?

  • @SunflowerContest he sings" never grumble or fusses"

  • Just bloody fantastic, never be another like him.

  • elvis' rendition is right on par with the original by R.Charles, perhaps even superior

  • HEY ELVISZONE this is very good quality from on tour, and i almost forgot he was quite outstanding and explosive in 72...thanks for uploading this i really appreciated

  • elvis dimostra di essere il re..questo brano diventa suo

  • Elvis is still the King, and will always be!

  • What I liked about the RCA Elvis Presley live released recordings was Madison Square Garden had a lot of songs that Aloha From Hawaii and As Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis did not have. Aloha From Hawaii had a lot of songs that As Recorded At Madison Square Garden and As Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis did not have. And As Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis had a lot of song that As Recorded At Madison Garden and Aloha From Hawaii did not have.

  • Plain and simple; the best that ever was, or will ever be. Period.

  • @socrh2 Plain and simple; So not true. Period

  • Great song and video!! thank you very much. I love The King and his music.

  • Ron Tutt rules!

  • right before this video, i just watched King Creole..and i still can't believe this guy was the one in King Creole!

  • @elvispresley11 metamorphosis he chance his image completely but if you look at his face you can still see 50's Elvis...

  • @theElvisZone He even changed in appearance a lot more from 1972 to 1977.

  • @elvispresley11 Yeah it's like when Elvis returned to live performances again in 69, it seemed like his hormones boosted. His hair grew so long, he grew so tall and his voice was rock star type. But just a year ago he did movies like Speedway and Live A Little Love A Little, he changed so much.

  • @elvispresley11 alot of people change over the yr ha

  • I love the unique peculiarity of the song; the rythm and the energy projected in this song. Elvis at the time especially with this outfit looked like a Prince. And he knew how to blend gospel, blues and rock as one .

  • The quality of sound and image is great!!, -though it sounds a little bit slower than the other versions of you tube of this same viseo- Is there any re-issue of "on tour" available?, where did you get this from?

  • hi elvis jack come and lising to me sing elvis hope you like

  • Great

  • Hi my friend!

Great song and video!! I like very much listening! 5 stars.

    Maria :))

  • Amazing!
