this is why i love this show. the reason i dont think this segment is getting views is because its kinda of a niche market video targeted towards advanced computer users. little beyond the average tech savy computer user. i love the random chick in the backround walking around. very distracting in a pleasant way.

I know, it probably can't be done without editing the source code of the utility, so it doesn't search for bios' already present on the system. But I was wondering if there was a simple way to not allow the utility to see the previous bios? the utility can run in dos mode but won't allow install between dissimilar model names; jus' wondering what

a mod-hacker would do?

Hey Darren, how can you brute force a bios utility, let's say a dell, that doesn't allow to be installed, if it recognizes a bios already present on the system by a model of a different name. This is especially troublesome from refurbished system boards, since they already have a bios on them and it may have came out of a different model computer; however the hardware still works perfectly, I know. But I have some customers with OCD; when they see a different model name in bios they freak!;)
