adding to that Hiragana is also used for Grammar, which blends in with Kanji and Katakana characters (the latter two are mainly used for names of people and things)
Hiragana represents question marks, tag questions possession particles position, time, place, subjects, objects, parts of human names and many verbs etc.
The language is the same, but the Symbols are different, afaik there are three different types of Symbols, the Kanji, hiragana and Katakana. Hiragana is the Japanese syllabary wich is also used to write down foreign words, the Kanji are somewhat complexer, each sign can mean a whole word, also combinated they can hae different meanings and so on. But the language is the same. The different types of symbols can be used in the same text.
Either buy a Character keyboard (I think) or else stick it in a translator and then copy/paste. In my opinion, Romanji is a bit easier and more accurate to type than using a translator.
nope, just go to control panel, languages, add other languages, install files for east Asian languages, you'll get a message saying you need to put in the CD that came when you bought your computer, but I never did and it worked for me.
you can try to install it, but you can also download a WP called NJ STAR Japanese, for example. Its a really useful programme which allows you to write in katakana, hiragana and kanji : ) Its free software so just google it ^_^
actually..there is a no need to download the NJ star if u are using a windows OS..the ability to type in jap is already there.. u just need to change the keyboard input setting via control panel=)
This is great. I'm taking Elementary Japanese this semester. These lesson will help me more in understanding the language and rules on how to speak. Thank you so much for these videos.

I think that Japanese is the coolest-sounding and most beautiful language in the world!!!Tomita san's video was very informative and it's nice to see someone dedicated to promoting Japanese, the best language in the world!
50'000! you only need to know 2000 to be considered fluent in japan with kanji and 1000 are comanly used, but i believe there are 50,000 historicly tho not even the chinese now that many
with ojii-san the sufix dose not need to be san it could be sama, chan(probaly only used by small children) and i don't know wether dono would be used or not.

That's great, but why you just give the link to your website directly, it'd be more useful and some little thing more, I would recommend to use a shorter domain name. :) BTW good job man.
tofu..:P hehe jodan desu! I wonder if you have a word for Grandfather on you mother's or father's side? is there any way to say it? thnx for the upload
What I don't get is I thought you can only say 'ちゃん' to family members and otherwise 'さん', but does it mean you can add ちゃん to anyone that is close to you even if you're not related? I guess I was wrong because if おじい-さん is for someone else's grandfther then おじいちゃん must mean someone else's grandfather who is close to you even though he's not your grandfather, ね?
ahh im fu is mess up. ....

what kind of japanese symbols do they speak currently more in japan?
stewiegriffin64 2 years ago
they use all of them.
Some things have a kanji for them but can also be broken down to hiragana. but often kanji makes writing somethings easier.
Hiragana is like the alphabet, only it isn't just letters. There is a hiragana for each sound used.
Katakana is used when writing about foreign things

Exactly

Me neither. But I knew there are different ways of calling yours and others' famili members.
But whenever I watch Dragonball GT, Pan always calls おじいちゃん both Goku and Satan.

Yes you can say chan to people who are not of your family. Primarily children-- but other people you are close to.
