This video was filmed in my home town of Santa Paula, CA. I remember when I was a little girl, I saw them filming around town. My sisters and I were excited when the MTV VJ mentioned our hometown after the video premiered. Nothing has changed. Main st and Santa Paula Street are still the same.
Surprisingly, Dennis is a very good actor.I wonder if he got along with those guys outside of the acting,because I know a couple of them were like B list actors in the 80's.The reason I am saying that is because they seemed to really hit it off in the video,either that was great acting on their part,or the had actual friendships formed during the video shoot.

God, every time I hear this song, I feel very nostalgic and take me back to 1984 when I went home after being out of the country for 2 years. I saw this video then and saw myself in the story and immediately felt so sad. I miss my friends and realized that we will not be together as often as before, having fun like in the video. God, every time I hear this song, I feel very nostalgic and take me back to 1984 when I went home after being out of the country for 2 years. I saw this video then and saw myself in the story and immediately felt so sad. I miss my friends and realized that we will not be together as often as before, having fun like in the video. I'm leaving the country for good and some of them are starting to leave, too. Oh, what I would do to see them again, even for one weekend.

Although I love this song, since it brings back many good memories, I have to admit it also cause me some pain, since I'll never have those good times ever again. I mean, we grow up, lose our innocence, and we will we never have the joy and excitement of doing things for the first time with all of the wonders involved, and with all of our childhood friends, some of whom we'll never see again (on this side of life, that is).
