Sure....I'd go to your Mom's b-day...it will help mend the rift and it would honor her. She's the only Mom you have. Of course, I know nothing about your family dynamic...but follow your heart with this one! Give her a wallet sized picture of yourself with love...something she can look at when she is older! ...or a wellmade tasteful scarf or brooch pin (silver...nicely done). Give her a hug and really mean it! It's HER day! (I'll never see 50 again, *sigh*) Too much of a romantic? Nah! *grin*

I would go to my mom's party only because she & I are very close. Depending on the nature of your mom's party you could be right. You don't want to feel out of place so maybe you should just let this be her and her friends - or just make a quick cameo :) As for a gift.... even though this may seem very impersonal, I have never received a gift card I didn't like :) this way she can get what she wants, when she wants it!
it's 6am, I just got home from the most surreal bizarre night in a while. spent it decorating san francisco's #9 cable car for christmas. an exhausting endeavor, I have to open the bar at 11 am, that part sux, but wow how fantastic, what an honor to spend the night in teh cable car barn with every one of our treasured cable cars.. watching your video while my camera uploads some footage. I appreciate your energy at this point of the night.. your videos are a fun distraction... be well...
all of my friends are freakin out about this and talking about not eating. i watched it and ate cookies and felt fabulous about my body the way it is. take that victoria secret!!
Hmmm, i just turned 50 myself and my family have bought me a gliding lesson as a gift and i am totally stoked at the idea of flying in the spring.
Christians who sit in judgement on others??? i wonder if they heard of the gospel of love? Isn't it a sin to presume to know the mind of God?
