    This and the Corvette ZR-1 have no match. The Vette can perform just as well as this Ferrari at half the price and 10 times the maintenance bills. I still like the Ferrari for it beautiful shape, but the Vette is a beast at an amazing price.

    The GTR? What world are you lining in? A videogame?! Nobody thinks a Nissan that got beat at Nurburgring by the Vette can compete with the best. Come on, only 13 year olds like the GTR more than the other cars.

  • Agree. Give some great european fwd car to american, and he wont have balls to push it to the limit. For example, give Renault Megane R26 (which is BY FAR the fastest small hatchback in the world, faster than Golf R32, new impreza STI, Focus RS) to someone there, and he will puke when he feels 1,3G force in corner and car will still be planted like a train.

  • i usualy apply more trotle where as other people brake.

    fwd has some understeer, but not that much.

    they always mention 'understeer and fwd'

    but in the end fwd is better for most weather conditions, because fwd puls than rather push you true a corner and you can take a curve faster.

    there are so many light cars with litle power and still it's a heck of fun on tight curved roads.

    i think people should first master <100hp cars, befor making false statements.

  • i have two cars, a vectra 2.5 v6 24v '94 (cosworth designed engine) and a ford fiesta 60hp diesel '94.

    the fly weight fiesta is a lot of fun in the spanish roads, in faq choose to use to master this crisis.

    from beneath its totaly rebuild and i cut of 1.5 ring from the suspention on the front and 1.0 ring from the back, repainted it.

    it's a innocent looking funny car and a real pleasure to drive sporty.

    it's not for 0-60 times, but fun to rally around with on the egde of the tires capabilities

  • im american and i will gladly take any car that pulls over a g in a corner and push that car past its limits. car tuning began in my home area cause we like to push our cars hard.

  • Well, you're an exeption then. Most of people cant imagine how scary it is to drive around mountain corners at the speeds of 150-200 km/h in a car thats just a bit bigger than a shoe, and when you feel the back wheel lifting up in the corner, tyres just on the edge of grip,etc.

  • not all americans can't drive on the limit. it's really just a majority. The thing that i don't like about being american is the fact that bc i have people in my country that have a thing for their cousin, and others that like to get off to children, all the blame is now spread across everyone. Same with the driving, sure most americans will laugh at the small displacement hatchbacks of Europe but not all of us just go on about huge displacement and massive torque. I could care for 8.7 liters.

  • No it actually revs over 9000 rpm. At 9000 rpm it produces maximum power, but limiter is at least 1000 rpm higher.

    i have a 1994 opel vectra with a 2.5 24v, this thing can launch me to 235km/h an hour pretty fast.

    the Seat leon FR tdi does also get to touch 230km/h on diesel.

    that's 1900cc diesel engine.

    american think they have fast cars, but it toke them 42 years to get back in the G.b.o.R.

    heck, we even have diesel engines limited to 151m/h and smaller displacements than a 5.0 v8.
