  • I dont understand how to memorize the course

  • I want to do this but with the high cost of tires and brakes... I'll have to wait until I graduate and get a job before I pick up this hobby (not to mention the helmets are freaking expensive)...

  • @yudanielk just get a set of cheapo wheels and tires and swap them to drive to the event. And brakes aren't too bad if you do it yourself.

  • Lol at the mini who wish he had racing tires XD

  • Damn that looks confusing with all of the cones

  • Great video - looks like a ton of fun! I'm just building my first auto-x car, can't wait to get 'er on the track!

  • #4 Loop 'da Loop

    LMAO

  • Great video, I have done 2 autocross events in Ft.Myers Florida and I am hooked

  • LOL the slalom had me cracking up!

  • ugh,i really want to do this. like EXTREMELY BAD. i have a license, but im in my senior year of highschool, and my dad wants me to focus on my grades,so he wont let me get a job -_-. this suckkkkkksssss. i want to AUTOCROSSSSS.

  • I'd love to try this!

  • excellent video. remember, NO CONES!!!

  • Any more video on that truck?

  • I just competed in my first autocross. It was a blast. I'm only 17 and wish I had more money to put in a car but it was still fun. Check out my video of it.

  • how can I find a local one?

  • @imagineas1

Not sure where you are , but; Google autocross + nearest major city.

Also look for "solo" (autocross is also called solo) and check the SCCA website for the nearest region.

  • i think i would f*** up the course. is it hard to know where to go or do the experts do a good job of showing you

  • You need to try it. At least find an event in your area, and go watch. Usually, you can catch a ride or two with someone, just ask. Watching on video or even live doesn't match up at all to being in the car. Go try it, you will be hooked, but it CAN be an inexpensive hobby, OR.....

  • @Mini72GS

But i''d assume most people woundnt want that, cuz it would slow down their time

  • @racer46 At local events, most clubs welcome newbies, and encourage ride-alongs to help them out.

  • @Mini72GS cool, ya there was a local event in my area yesterday, and another this saturday im gonna go,so how do I get a ride?there's a sign up sheet?

  • @racer46 You very well might catch a ride but it will be at the end of the day on one of the fun runs, you get a DNF if you carry a passenger during a race.

  • i for sure thought that autocross was gonna be stupid and i would rather take it to a real track but this looks intense.

  • Tech fail.... even thought you have fluid the break petal must still be check for pressure and the throttel cable ( if present know there is not one on the Subies) must be checked to ensure return spring is working correctly. Just a friendly reminder.

  • I raced with these guys back in Akron @ GoodYear (CP17 Mustang). Best group EVAR! Stang is almost done in resto. I might come up this year. Everyone that thinks his/hers car is fast. Do it! Prove it legally and have the best day of your life. Live on forever ASCC!

  • what truck is that at 1:01 ?

  • cool video

man the pylon industry must love autocrosses

  • Go figure Subarus and Miatas at an Autocross

    Good Idea with this video

  • Just saw a car just like mine XD

  • Nice vid! Makes me cant wait for next season.

  • If you really want to have a blast at autocross (SCCA Solo) enter "5/20/07 SCCA F125 Shifter Kart Autocross" in your YouTube search. These things usually turn in top time of the day over all other classes.

  • No doubt you'll be hooked. I was the first time out and I only raced my wife's stock car.

  • Someone tell that Vette driver to take off the full face ... airbags + Full face helmet = Death. As stupid as you look with a open face. Youll look stupid but youll be alive.

  • true, i plan on getting an open face only becuase i dont like full face helmets. But then again my car doesnt have airbags, or upper body restraints so a full face is probly a better idea.

  • Great video!

  • That minimal entry fee must pay for all those mangled high-visibility demarcators.

  • Whoa! That was cool. I was up at Northfield last Sunday and got a ride in 2 different Miatas! What a trip! I've got to try this out for myself! Thanks for posting the video.

  • That was a great video! I've been looking into this sport and this really helped. I can't wait to get started. Thanks!

  • excellent video. i can't wait to get my license :)

  • Great video, I am in Akron for the summer. Just finished my last class today, actually. I would love to come out sometime. Looks like an absolute blast.

  • Thank you very much for this video. I am going to my first in the morning, and really enjoyed this "Solo II for idiots" presentation. I now feel less like a complete newbie. ;-)

  • Excellent video. Thanks!

  • I gotta be honest with whoever viewing the video. It was me who clipped those cones @ slalom LOL. Cant wait for another season of Fun and Craziness

  • Outstanding

  • great video of good summer fun
