  • I hope everyone realizes this is a part you go through when you learn windmills... if you keep practicing the kick into the restab, you'll eventually get enough momentum to land back into a turtle. When I learned windmills, I had the same problem. Practice made me faster and now I can do continuous

  • try pop up and roll forward to ur shoulder, and u should end up to the freeze without the legs touching the floor. But it's really important to have enough speed/momentum. pop up and turn around ;)

  • @ClassTrouble always when I get in the freeze position I try to gain a bit speed so I spin a bit on my stabbed hand then lift my body up, legs apart ( how much I can) and then BAAPP!!! can't stab my body again that's all I have to say to you Dude if I could stab my body again I guess it would be a connection of 2 windmills?

  • So you have 1 windmill down thats cool, i see as youre coming into the second one you tend to stop. continue pushing your arms to keep going and staying on your upper shoulder.

  • Im not sure if your collapsing properly but make sure you do, keep legs wide and locked, roll on upper back.

    I'm not a pro bboy, but windmills takes time.. But how i learned it (not so long time ago) was, my friend told me to kick up with the kicking leg.. So I tried it and it worked :) I haven't mastered it yet, but it seems alright to me.. You can look at my video(only got one) i do some mills there.. It sounds crazy but try it :)

    use a trampoline.

    i had the same problem till i tryed on the tramp now its been like two days and i already got 4 rotations

    and ur in ur handglide position

    lift ur right leg

    and get air with the left leg(by kicking off with only left, and make sure to swing ur right leg after you kick off)

    and i think those arent bad

    Keep your hips UP!

    lean more forward.

    Roll on your shoulder blades.

    make sure hips doesnt touch floor.

    use your left hand to PULL to give you more momentum when spinning.

    get ready to have a sore shoudler for the first week.

  • wow very well said :).. but another thing ALWAYS try to keep ur legs straight in the "V" position, this will basically give u maximum momentum and yes windmills are painful on ur shoulders and especially ur hip for the first couple weeks (depending on how fast u catch on), but if u keep practicing u will almost never get that pain :) good luck

  • you need to keep your legs open, and when you come around on your back, you need to kick your right leg up towards your face, and flip around to the beginning, and kick before your feet hit the ground in the starting possition.

    what you need to do is.. u got a turn table pretty good but when you come back into your hand glide posistion pause for a couple of seconds then try another one but dont hit the gground in between the turn tables.. do 3 of these in a row.. once you get all three easly.. try to connect 2 then pause and do one more.. when you get good at that connect all three

  • you don't need much speed at your stage. you need a better restab. do a higher stab. itll help a lot.

  • Your right leg is getting lazy as it comes to the floor. Keep kicking that thing up boy =] You might also have to pop back up to your stab if you're trying to get multiple.

  • try not to do a freeze when you are going to start the spin because that makes your leg weight swing downwards... and after you master it, try it with the freeze, you get more rotation :)

  • u dnt need strength to do windmills...yeah it does take a lil upper body strength but anybody can do it...i can do it and im hella skinny..i jus need to learn to go faster into my next mill...and im almost getting there with my flares..

  • if u watch the other windmills u see that there legs are not touching the floor and the legs are not stoping to spin so when u egtting to other position make sure u get on the shoulders mean dont get up while doing so and make sure leg spread out and not tocuhing floor

  • hmm... well.. i just reached over that state where you are right now..

    you need to kick your LEFT leg much more upwards, swinging from your left side to your right.

    you have a pretty good start at it from baby. try to raise your right leg a little before the left, getting you to swing with a bigger bend in your body.

    Then reach the baby position again. When you have that, try to continue a bit faster and always keep walking yourself around, you'll get a bit longer every time.

  • dont stop in the middle, the problem you have is that when you spinned back to the first position, you stopped, kick as hard as you can, swing your legs fast, make sure it doesn't touch the ground, the faster your legs swing, the lighter it gets

  • oh yeah and something i forgot, remember when you come back to the "pose" position, try to lift yourself up a little bit to help you maintain height

  • Dude also when you collaspe turn in a handglide till your fingers face forward and then push forward with both hands to collaspe, it helps alot! Good luck with your mills man

  • Try practicing off your back. Don't drop into them off of your hands, lay on your back and roll into them. Looking good though.

  • wtf u talking about? you have to start from ur hands (handglide position). your problem is not having a high stab, disallowing you from recollapsing. Try to get your legs higher when you get back on your arm again.
