You can't make a judgement on Islam over 1 man.
The quraan states that homosexuals should not be removed from Islam or abused mentally or physically because of this.
It also states that women and men have the same rights.

@tomsykes66 i am a muslim and in my mosque we always talk about love and peace and how to better the world. after every prayer we collect money to help the homeless and the starving. we are always taught how not to be greedy and to show tolerance to everyone around us. we are not fuelled by hate, i am motivated by love and wanting to make the world a safer, happier place for EVERYONE. i know some muslims do nasty, evil things, but its sad and unfair when ALL muslims get burdened with the blame.

This is the best example I have ever seen of what Mohammed taught as 'holy deception' (or taqiya) and I hope it will be linked 1000's of times to educate people about this well documented and hugely prevalent and accepted form of lying in Islam. Please people - don't accept what Muslims tell you about this wicked, wicked ideology - go and read their 'holy' books yourself. Just as Christianity has had to account for its legacy (and is still doing so) the time for Islam to own up has come.
