Hi, I suggest that you put a picture of it on "vintage-radio . net" I usually put it under the heading of "I bet you don’t know what this is" and I normally get several answers within a couple of hours.
You'll have to sign into the site to ask questions but you'll not regret it, the guys are extremely knowledgeable and very keen to help anyone restoring vintage radios.
Looks like a Freed Eisman. Can't tell the model, though. Some of their models started with an NR-... Google Freed Eisman and you might find a schematic.
Still no closer to finding out any more about this little gem.
