The S/38 was the first system I ever worked on professionally, starting in August 1985. After 3 years on that, I moved on to the earliest (pre-launch) AS/400 systems. Thanks for this great video flashback!
Life began with this system. The best ever made. Nothing even comes close today, except its grandchildren the AS/400, System i and now the POWER System. But at the end of the day, they're all just new hardware running the S/38 operating system.
Have you been able to get this to IPL from the hard disk?

I used to work as an operator for the IBM 370 4331 3090 System 36 annd 32.
