The should be better able to ride than I can but when they flop on around on the horses' backs and make mistakes that I, a novice can see, then they are either being very, very careless or they just suck at riding and don't care for the comfort of the horse at all.

These jumps are like warm up fences for these horses.

They spend hours a week training for jump offs and speed classes and whatever else they do.

The horses are worth tens of thousands.

They aint gonna do something that would put them in danger.

Hi horsebackriderlover - this was a special class put on at the AEG and was for entertainment. If you've read through the comments on this vid, you'll see that there are people unhappy with the way some horses were made to attempt fences after tight turns. There were time penalties rather than faults awarded so it didn't matter if a fence was taken down. This year, the format changed and focussed more on the show (the organisers probably realised that the time penalty format wasn't the best).

Go to a show and watch the speeds people go around them, then you'll see it's the normal for it. Yes sometimes the horses stop, because some will risk taking shorter corners to save time and that's what happens. It's not automated horse ruining.
