  • merci !

  • whats the name of the song?

  • Great technique. Rifling the cards as you put them back together is perfect for putting the deck back together. I've been trying to find a way to put the deck back together without the two parts making the clapping noise.

  • Thank u cool...!!!!

  • i'm doing it right now and i can't even get the top deck to the bottem lol

  • Very good.i now use the same technique.many thanks.

  • i love the way you do the pass perfect angles and the pull deck back thing makes it much easyer ive been working on the pass for only a day and still not fast enough but i think ive got a lot better just by ur explaniation. thanks

  • mrbergkvist, that was just amazing, and i like the song choice - very catchy. For anyone that's interested, when he pulls the top packet of cards backwards, it is not sideways, parallel to the deck. Check out 1:34

  • tnx for this

  • zomg! there are alot of ways out three... 1st... move the upper pack.. 2nd move the lower pack 3rd sit infront of computer watch people move..

  • gotta admit, this is nice. is it Sankeys?

  • nice pass mate. usually when looking at pass videos, it ends up in a rant, howver, your's was excellent..

  • Nice

  • Wow. I can think of quite a few different uses for this. Thanks a lot man. Good job.

  • You make it look faaar too easy!! ;)

  • Realy need to know the name of this song!

    Very, very good tutorial!

  • @MRschada Life is a Song

  • I find it alot easier bringing the bottom of the pack over onto the top

  • good job! however, it could seem very blatant that you're doing a move. ( 1:45 )

  • dam, your tally ho deck looks smooth o.o

    which decks are best of bicks masters edition or tally hoes? are tally hoes thin? o;

  • goood work

  • Very good ...as the name of this song?

  • great vid. thanks.

  • thak you, ver cool!!!!!

  • Your explanation is one of the best I've seen and I've been doing magic for about 5 years now. Your use of a slight angle on the cards and pulling the bottom half in towards you was such a helpful concept. I found myself saying "why didn't I think of that!" Thank you!

  • Haha. I was thinking the exact same thing! Tilting it backwards meant the world. Very good tutorial man!

  • i have small hands and i watched Ninja 1 - Stealth Technique by Brad Christian and now i'M able to do it invisibly

  • Trick to pass is to not move the right fingers. You don't have to pull the upper packet at all, actually. I recommend listening to Aaron Fisher's lectures and going back to Erdnase.

You do it excellently, though I think a spectator would know what was happening.

  • Yeah. Your right. Allthough, the pass is a bit exaggerated in this video, for explanation purpose. I have a link in the discription of how I usually do it. It looks a bit different. ;)

  • @mrbergkvist still slick, that was nicelydone

  • @chessmeister What do you mean? The entire pass is pulling the upper packet down under the bottom one

  • @ReallyUnRealScape When you're handling the cards normally, your right hand fingers would never look like that. I use the top hand to pull up slightly on the bottom packet, with a relaxed bottom hand. This flips the top packet vertically. Then, gravity and a little finger pressure from the bottom hand will do the rest, and the bottom hand rises up to close the packets. It's tough to explain without showing. It's just the idea that your hands should appear as if they are doing nothing.

  • @chessmeister Sorry- I understand what you mean now

  • how long did you practice this move before uploading this video?

  • wery good pass and tutorial, but i want to know where or how did you got the pips of the cards in the right because y work like you with my right hand please tell me, when i do a fan it looks like bad plesee

  • awesome thankz:)

  • what a great pass. I learned this pass great FROM SCRATCH! nice tutorial and nice music.

    ::smooth pass::

  • it is way too hard for me. everytime i try to grab the top deck it spins and the cards mess up. please help!!!!! im crying thats how serious this is. (im not or am i... no please help!!!!)

  • this is normal when practicing the first step...

watch different tutorials to get an idea!!!

Dont give up keep trying. I remember i was really mad when i started to learn it. But it gets easier

  • i just can't do it. How do people do it so fast?

  • Practice

  • Best tutorial ever.

  • i've been working on the pass off and on for a long time... a really long time. I now know what I was doing wrong. thanks dude.

  • cant see anything from those angles i still know as less as before i saw the video :(

  • argh I really have no idea how to do this. I've been working on it for quite some time and yet mine is sitll completely obvious.

Could you give a few tips about angles or stuff like that? Personally, I have no problems with the move itself, it's just that my top pack disappears so obviously.

  • It's a frustrating move that unfortunately takes a lots of time to learn :S

Just keep working with you angles. Smoothness is also extreamly important. Gl!

  • Thanks a lot, that's very useful. You do it so well.

  • TQ....TQ......TQ....TQ

  • i would almost consider that a jiggle pass

  • iTS gOOD bUT nOT cLEAR

  • This is a very good tutorial, but I have to ask 1 question. How come everytime I pull off the top deck, I can never get the whole deck to be pulled? In other words, im always pulling like 1 or 2 cards. lol its really annoying, you have any suggestions>

  • I guess I had that problem to when i started too. Maby you have very slippery cards? :P

I suggest that you start with pulling of small groups of cards, maby 10-15, just to get the hang of it. When you feel that you have control you can try to pull half a deck.

You will probobly notice that it will get easier the more relaxed your hands are. The cards should be pulled with balance, not with force.

    gl!

  • best pass tutorial that i have seen, i have never pulled the bottom half back like that, always just snapped it down

  • you're the best dude! thanks!!!!!

  • nice work and good tips...it looks though that everything is reversed....was there a reason for that?

  • hmm, i think the camera was mirrored. Maby that's what you mean? It makes it alot easier while practicing :)

  • 5 stars :D. It's absolutely superb! It may be the way akira fuji does it :-?

  • thx for good tutorial

    but it nedd much practice

whats the song and merry christmas

  • It's called "life is a song" by Patrick Park i think. Merry Christmas to u2!

  • great song love it

  • Nice tutorial! I hav been practicing for months..but still not smooth enough..really ned more practice..haha..anyway..Thanks alot!(=

  • did u make this video reflecting to the mirror?

  • Yes, it's a lot easier when recording. The deck is in my left hand.

  • well, good but the riffling of the cards (to cover sound) should be done only when starting off new with the pass,

once you get it down, you should be able to execute it without sound, and not having to riffle the deck. though those motions do add good cover to the actal motion of the pass.

  • riffling is a natural thing to do, it's not like you have to stop doing it.

  • hmmm, i guess,

  • this is the best pass tutorial i've seen. Seriously, very good. I've been practicing for about 4 months and have basically got it, but this video reminded me that the most important thing is to be relaxed...moving the slightly towards you when you make the pass really helps aswell though, thanks. ps, what do you do with your left index during the pass?

  • Do you mean the bottom index finger? That is actually the hardest part of my pass nowdays, to make the bottom index finger look "relaxed".

  • yer, the bottom one. do you keep it straight or use it to keep the bottom pack squared etc....thanks.

  • gotta give it up to you man you can defienetly do the pass about as perfect as i have ever seen Keep doing what your doing man

  • very very nice. thank you, i have been doig my pass gor awhile but i just wanted to get it down a little smoother and your video really helped out. thank you again.

  • btw nice song. i am definitely subscribing

  • my god, my god, u are my hero. that was just amazing. smooth, crisp, and clean. i can do the pass, but mine is not even close to yours. i had a problem in the middle when you bring the top half up, thx for the tutorial dude. AMAZING

  • thank u very much for the vid :)...

  • thank you thank thank thank you so much

  • This is easily the best tutorial for the pass that i've watched anywhere, i'm learning at at the moment and I find this video to be the biggest help i've had, thanks heaps and well done.

  • WHAT'S THE SONG??? I really like it...

  • Patrick Park - Life is a Song

  • that was an amazing tutorial. especially after seeing so many little 7 year olds posting videos when they haven't even mastered a trick yet

  • What a fantastic tutorial. I've watched countless pass tutorials on youtube, and this one takes the cake for explaination of what you are actually doing. I liked the freezeframes with written commentary, as this enables you to pause and read whilst trying out your method at the same time. Thanks for the tips on sleight. 10/10

  • has any one seen akira fuji,s insane pass

it is deffintly top 4 on uTube

  • yes thats just unbelievable

but this guy's pass is definitely gonna work well in performances...smoothness is what works...i see he doesnt rush too much

  • it relly helped me

  • a little bit complicated...

  • thank you so much mrbergkvist! I have always had trouble with the classic pass but you tutorial has DEFINATELY made a difference. I am now very confident with my performance and it is all thanks to you! btw, I must agree with LOSM5 with you being one of the best on Youtube at performing the classic pass. Cheers!

  • Best & most beautiful pass tutorial on Youtube!!!

Besides I always appreciate your choice of music and the atmosphere.

In my opinion you are nr. 2 or nr. 3 on Youtube, performing the pass (as "l'art pour l'art").

(The best is Kamm, whose technique of misdirection you adopted. falsedeal is also very impressing, but the quality of his video makes it difficult to say, what really happens there. ManiacCard004's videos, who is certainly also one of the best, contain too many distracting elements.)

  • Check out this great quality of some guy doing a top card cover pass, and while your at it check out Akira Fuji's.
