Have you attempted ESXi 5? It is more tolerant of the Realtek chipsets.

@waynevict i no longer have the hardware set up so i never tried esxi 5.

where did you get the usb header because my case is usb 3.0 but the cable has to run to the motherboard....which i have the same motherboard as you

@nerocko6 i got it from newegg. the item number is N82E16815201028. it's not a usb3.0 header it's usb2.0.
