Hey! Didn't know you had a channel on youtube. I discovered you watch the AMC show. I appreciated your approach to things, combined with your spiritual centeredness. Very inspiring.
@sethzky77 Yeah but he has a valid point of view, many many years ago man had less than what he is wearing and they survived more than he does, he wants to be closer to nature like they were
Ok Cody when you going to do some YouTube training videos.Let see How you live in a desert.Dave has show how to live in a mountains wilderness. Now you show us desert survival
Survival is made all the more possible when you are at your fittest.it gives you that extra edge.which is why I combine a simple 4 day per wk. H.I.T program, with a good bit of bicycling. maintaining fittness to stay at the ready for when the SHTF, is every bit as important as having the gear and the knowlege of survival itself.Cody's physicality is a testament to this fact,he knows whats up.
@HeatherBower yeah, girl power! You're awesome and I'm a bit jealous- would love a guy like Cody and Mr.Alabamaoutdoorsman, I did buy a mora knife like Cody's
I Subscribed and signed in thinking maybe THAT was why all I'm see is black screens on all the videos, but I still have no videos!! :( HATE when I can't see that rockin' body makin' fire, man! Now I'll have to get all tech and actually figure out what's up with this stupid puter!DAMMIT! Make me miss my Cody!! ~grumble grumble~
Hey Cody, quick question...when you first started living in the wilderness, were you doing it illegally on public land, or were the laws different back then, or was it your own land, or what? I've ALWAYS wanted to give something like that a try, but it seems the only way is to do it illegally, have tons of land (which I definitely do not have), or continually pay for a campground, which sort of defeats the purpose altogether. Anyways, love the videos! you're truly an inspiration. thanks!
@jms8220 Your best bet is to have (or "find") a good friend with a very large open/wooded back yard that they have no immediate future plans with! Lol!That's how I lived for quite a while many years ago, and I can honestly say, even though being disabled keeps me from the way I lived back then, I do really, truly miss it. Most of it anyway...Maybe it may've been a lot better if I'd had a maid at the time! :) I lived in what Cody calls a wickiup for a cpl years.
@HeatherBower wow, thanks for the help! and to be honest, the last person i wouldve expected to respond would be a girl. Not gonna lie...if we were the same age, you'd totally be my type lol
@jms8220 Well, I'm happy to be 40, but even happier to already be married (for many years) to a man very like Cody...even in looks! Lol! He's a huge viking of a man with waist long blonde hair too, and hunts only with a primitive recurve bow and arrow (which he makes). I've had great fun teasing him since we started watching Dual Survival about maybe now people will stop thinking he's Triple H (from wrestling, which is who he REALLY looks exaclty like to me because of his height and face)! Haha!
@HeatherBower that is awesome! i have so much respect for guys who hunt with primitive bows, and so much lack of respect for the ones who even think they're hunting when they use a rifle. and to look like triple h, that just tops it all off lol
Cody is a very knowledgeable and spiritual person. Well-educated formally and practically with a true and rare passion and genuine love for the outdoor and a deep respect for nature. He is also one of the biggest most arrogant pricks I have ever met. Guess there is a balance in everything.
learn another thing from him, he actually say that bigfoot is real. And i think he knows more about north america forests, than some nerdy scientist that see wildlife only in books.
@RCSuperPowers yea the first few times i saw him on dual survivor he always had on a long sleeve shirt or sweater, but i always noticed his shoulders seem really really broad. then i finally saw the episode where he started in a cave. he had on a sleeveless shirt and i thought wow that guy is buff.

Thorgrim?
Cody you remind me of Sven-Ole Thorsen
when he played Thorgrim in Conan the Barbarian
with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
You are also built like him.
I bet Dave C. was a little intimidated by you.
You're not a Hippie, you're a Barbarian.
@ 0:27 Cody looks like one of Thulsa Doom's Head Priests in the 1982 film Conan the Barbarian.
