  • @AWS137 Its a design called "masked kitchen".

    Its a popular theme where most of your major appliances, such as your fridge, mircowave, etc. are hidden in plain sight by normal looking cupboards, slide away cabnets, etc.

    If I had to make a guess, I'd say that he is using a similar method in his kitchen, hence why it looks like a cupbard and not a fridge.

  • Pastry cream: 150 ml milk 100 ml cream 3 egg yolks 3 1/2 tbsp sugar 1 tbps flour 1/2 corn starch/ corn flour a) cook the milk and cream b) whisk the egg yolks and sugar, then add the flour c) splash a little bit milk-cream mixture, whisk just to make sure it will not be lumpy. and add the rest. whisk.. d) put it back on pan and cook Flavor : 1-2 dl fruit juice (try oranges :D) drop of lemon juice Meringue: 5-6? egg whites (not sure how much he used) 3 tbps sugar a little drop of lemon juice

  • @93PANIC i would suggest asking the local supermarket or check out the bigger markets. it should be easily avalible.

    190 degrees celcius for 7-9 minutes

  • @spikeboy101 You probably knocked the other two around too much when putting them into the oven. Souffles are a fickle bunch, bitches the lot of them, and they're very sensitive. There is also the humidity and all that jazz. So if not all of them rise, don't worry, as long as they're light and tasty.

  • @ando1135 most likely double cream - it's used a lot in the UK, and if you look in the right places you can find it in the states

  • Because the tray he had in the oven was preheating with the oven!  That way the souffle's start to cook immediately and do not have to wait for the cold tray to heat up!

  • It's easy to overlook this small but important detail, when watching this video (at least I did). He's putting the ramekins on a preheated sheet pan; that way the souffles are cooked from underneath, which gives them that extra boost.

  • In England it is called Double Cream. It might have been Extra Thick Double Cream but I don't think it matters.

  • Well, Ramsay is still the headschef of the restaurante, which means he can still have the stars.

    Or, the restaurants might be Ramsay's but who really has the starts are the Chefs on the restaurante whilst he's away.

    But if a chef leaves the restaurante both lose the star.
