  • It's an old drag saw. My Dad's father used one made by Ottawa. Better than a two-man misery whip, but still a lot of work, most of it while bending over.

  • Man's ingenuity is almost certainly a result of his laziness.

  • @nikanj wherever you heard that from i have no idea. however i do know that its balls.

  • Just remember; all you young punks. "There's no fool like an old fool".

  • chain saw?

  • Who's Chuck Norris.

  • F@&^ off with these chuck norris joks they are fking old

  • @omgitschrislol not as old as chuck norris!

  • @sublimemadness HA he is old

  • lol!

    nice!

  • OSHA approved? :)

  • I don't know how I got here but this is actually pretty cool haha

  • All from related videos, I went from watching Wiz Khalifa smoke pot, to this...?

  • @FlaaaaaaaMe HAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHA...aint that some shit man...how the fuck did i get here.

  • Although a chainsaw is probably all around better, that old machine is so much cooler

  • Yawn

  • Why am i even looking this stuff up? i thought thier would be blood. REAL blood!

  • i don't think any type of PPE would save you from that.

  • my grandfather had one of these on his farm, my dad remembers loading wood cuts up on a wagon after they were sawn.

  • That invention probably saved the health of a lot of people back in the day, turning backbreaking work into something much easier. Great invention!

  • @Wiegieboard into something *a little* easier. Great invention!

  • when that thing was first invented it must have been a hoot......it bet the hell out of breakin your back all day....plus you could, git er done.

  • Comment removed

  • That thing is terribly slow.

  • now thats what i call a dragsaw

  • I wonder how it handles getting caught in the wood? Does it just stop and grinds it's gears or what?

  • what takes you 5 minutes takes me and my 455 rancher 5 seconds

  • @REDNECKCABLETV Who cares? Dragsaws and buzz rigs are 100x classier than a chainsaw. BTW, I cut all my cordwood with a crosscut saw. Pussy.

  • That is a really neat machine. ^^

  • The way the wheel turned to make it work remembers me of old trains.

  • When the chainsaw breaks get out old faithful

  • Cool deal, but I'm diggin' the vintage McCollough in the front!

  • this is called a Drag Saw, Back Before Chainsaws were used in the Logging Industry

  • wtf i can do this with a handsaw in 30seconds

  • most redneck thing ever

  • ey kauf dir mal ne ordentliches pokemon du idiot !

  • That has nothing on the giant ass saw thing, google it.

  • Ok that ones scary..

  • And from this device, came what is known today as 'A F***ing machine'

  • as soon as i saw the beard, i knew this was gonna be a good one! pretty neat contraption!

  • just use a fuckin chainsaw...

  • i saw that before. : )

  • It is the Saw guy!!!

  • My Grandpa had one of them. One day, my Grandma came out and gave him a glass of Iced tea. While standing there, that saw blade flipped up outta the log, whirled around and cut off Grandma's head. Grandpa tried to drag her away but before he could, that blade whipped around and cut off both of his legs. No one could get near that damn thing so he bled to death. They just let it run out of gas before they could help them. Took 2 1/2 hours to run out.

That's why they call it The Saw Of Death.

  • @magprob FAKE gay story

  • @kdc43 I see you can relate, since your entire life is a Gay Story. Stop faking and just come out. Be proud of your Gayness.

  • @magprob Wow, you been spying on me Sissy Gay. I'm a Macho Gay and come out with me! So bend over and I'll show you what a Macho Gay that I am!

  • @kdc43 Yea? Well let me tell you Skippy, that saw of death ain't got nuthin on my Jackhammer of Bliss.

  • next up on top gear, a V8 saw blade :D

  • this would be something put into the saw movies.

  • He need that V8 power saw (:

  • That's scary.

  • osha doesn't need to care about this it is a good saw with a little common sense it is actually quite safe

  • Well, guys, that's a drag saw. My old grandad had one built by Ottawa that my grandma bought for him when he got back from WW I. It was still in grand shape, always shedded, when we left the ranch in 2000. I gave it to a good friend, and my friend died. Life: It's like cutting wood.

  • Put a dildo on it.

  • @NotMorning lmao

  • saw of death..might want a dilly or an old pickle at the dandys before skirts courting mystery men..mopar..play with it for awhile..then talk..agreed..thought so..10

  • yeah, he's a lost brother of ed gein:)

  • USE the whole blade !! well that's what my teacher always tells me :p

  • give ya 5 bucks to shave your balls with it.

that is just violent... i love it

  • that is cool but it looks insanely dangerous

  • put a lawn mower engin on it

  • ale Jaz

  • well. he'd do faster with a chainsaw

  • @ddeeaammoonn

You are so right, but we had no chainsaws 80 years ago ^_^

  • allo :D

  • OSHA would freak out like a vegan in a slaughterhouse if they knew that this thing was still around.

  • use my chain saw all fall, and for some reason this thing scares me

  • I think I'd where chaps next to that

  • this looks like someting off of SAW

  • I don't...think I'd be standing that close to it like that.

  • they gonna put this in the next SAW movie...

  • How long do u suppose it will take 2 go through a human corpse...?

  • @artdude12 12 seconds XD

  • should be used in SAW movie!

  • watch out for your ass!

  • nice.

its like if you dont cut your arm, leg, foot, head etc off with it. you break your arm, leg head etc on the crank

  • Chuck Norris trims his beard with that.

  • @bruno2260 Well, at least he died when he used it coz it cut his guts and brains out.

  • @bruno2260 I'm so sick and tired of you stupid kids making Chuck Norris comments!! The dude is OLD!!!!!! BTW: I seem to remember Bruce Lee whooping his ass!

  • @psygn0sis Maybe so, but Chuck Norris ultimately carried Bruce Lee to his grave. (He was a pallbearer.)

  • @bruno2260

You must be so old! I looked him up "Chuck Norris" is a old-age pensioner ZzZzZ.

  • @SawLots Whatever, you ain't getting any younger either.

I guess you think anyone over 40 is old since the life expectancy in Nepal is only 60yrs. old.

So yea, I may be older then you, but I'm probably still going to out live you since life expectancy in the U.S. is 80yrs. old...Tough luck kid.

  • @bruno2260

You are stupid and senile. I live in a modern city it has shopping centres Internet providers everything a city as. I do not live in Tibet that is a different country. We live longer than 60 years old. your old age has made you senile.

Born Carlos Ray Norris March 10, 1940 (age 71)

    Ryan, Oklahoma, United States

    Occupation Actor, martial artist

    Years active 1968.

You are a senile old cunt.

  • @SawLots Well, it's a dead giveaway by what & how you wrote that you're not very well educated. I know Tibet is a different country & I never said that you lived there. I can only guess that you just learned the word "senile" since you used it 3 times in about as many sentences.

-I've seen videos of Kathmandu and it's far from a "modern city". Looks poor, dirty & very disorganized, no traffic or street lights, people just walking & driving anywhere, what a mess.

  • @bruno2260

ZzZzZz senile old bastard probably shit yourself.

  • @SawLots Really? That's your response? Grow up. That's something a 10 year old would say.

Good luck living in squalor, hopefully someday your realize just how immature & naive you really are.

I mean you absolutely haven't said one intelligent thing yet. Good-bye.

  • @bruno2260 LOL.. what a funny little thread... i like it when someone owns someone else on the youtube comment section..

well done, and thank you for my first smile of the day :)

  • @SawLots Also, I don't know why you decided to give me statistics on Norris, but if you're copy them from Wikipedia at least copy them correctly. I doubt he has been active for 1968yrs.

Wind-up your computer an try again.

-And name calling, really? That's pretty juvenile and shows lack of intelligence.

  • @bruno2260 or maybe his toe nails with his v8 toe trimmers out of gas

  • The only thing missing is the evil laugh

    mwuhahahahahahaa!

  • :o That was AWESOME! I actually jumped when it started moving.

  • my god

  • did that blade just have a sex with that log?

  • Wow thats slow compared to the V8 Chainsaw!!! But very neat.

  • That's just a converted sex machine.

  • @ashman102 What do you mean converted? You could easily go from wood to snatch with that thing

  • Hey yall watch this.

  • Thats a drag saw, safe in the right hands but they don't half jump when the saw sticks!

  • ok...thats just awesome

  • Holy i spooked when that blade start to moving.

  • Popular mechanics has one of this in their "40 power tools you can build" book from way back in teh 50s or so...

  • Actually cut better and quicker than i thought it would

  • they shud make a saw movie like this and maybe but a dildo on it

  • @sanandreasboy2000 ur sick

  • replace saw with dildo

  • rednecks + moonshine+no job= this

  • Simple idea, works great.

  • It's an accident waiting to happen and I love it!! This is what real men used to cut wood.

  • That's awesome.

  • OSHA is for employers to keep employees safe.

    Not random hilljacks

    Your a putz

  • LOL

  • bring me to 1880 s loooooooooooool

  • @emadolla hahah that's true!!! xD

  • cool

  • this is what serial killers used in 1915

  • wonder what happens if she gets pinched?

  • that's kinda cool!!

  • Not a murder machine but a torture and execution machine! Imagine Osama under those teeth of doom

  • What a great saw! In it's day it done the job well I am sure.

  • wow the technology back then was fuckin huge dangerous and unefficient

this machine spells disaster and instant amputation

  • @crazybud32

    i thought the same xD

  • This is pathetic after watching the v8 chainsaws.

  • The modern day man... geting lazier by the second. HA

  • Looks like a modern way implementing a medieval form of execution. I want to try it. Starting it on a log I mean, not being under it.

  • bad bad bad

  • I'd hate to forget to keep my feet out from under that when it cuts all the wat though

  • I'm assuming OSHA hasn't seen this yet? : )

  • LOL

  • whitewolf60- With OSHA, the EPA and all the global warming nutz... it's a wonder we still have any jobs left in this country!

  • awiz...Too bad we can't get the global warming/environmentalists to oppose trade with China and illegal immigration. Regarding China, every time we shut down a factory and relocate it to China (or India, etc.), you can rest assured that the level of pollution and emissions increases due to the wild-west industrial posture over there. As for immigration, a study found that immigrants to the U.S. from third-world countries quickly adopt the worst traits of Americans as regards consumption (cont)

  • awiz(cont)...and disposal. In their home country, they may have ridden a bicycle to work; both healthy AND non-polluting. Once here, they soon begin shopping for an SUV. Back home, they might have produced 50 lbs. per year of landfill waste. Once in the U.S., that figure quickly climbs to about 1500 lbs. per year. So, the rampant immigration and offshoring of jobs, while being detrimental to this nation on their own, have the additional negative effect of increasing environmental damage globally

  • You're OSHA comment set me off. Seems everytime we turn around OSHA comes in with new BS regs at my work. The last thing, anyone not on a ladder, over 10ft off the floor needs to be safety harnessed to a cable off a 'locked out' overhead crane. So much for productivity!!! Can't be on the job and use the crane at the same time! Our government plans to kill our remaining business here with carbon taxes while China/India run full tilt! Welcome to Earth, the insane asylum of the universe!

  • awiz....Have you heard the one that OSHA can hit you with a big fine if they find you have a pallet STANDING UPRIGHT?!? I've never made the effort to confirm that one because, well, it sounds so typical that I have NO DOUBT it's true! The OSHA people are basically like grocery store managers; usually ignorant, but ingrained with a few useless kernels of regulations or rules which they fixate on and enforce ruthlessly with no ability to apply critical thought to the situation at hand.

  • @whitewolf60 This has nothing to do with OSHA fuck osha, this is to for practical application and, for laughs. Thanks for ruining the video for me

  • @pinchiecajones...Sorry! I didn't mean to impact your feminine sensitivities!

  • awiz....P.S., I must say, I wouldn't stand to close to that damn saw!

  • pu your body under there lol

  • @whitewolf60 lol!

  • @whitewolf60 osha are the fucktards who want to ban steam engines incase you get burnt.

  • @whitewolf60

i don't think OSHA makes it that far out in the woods :-)

  • @whitewolf60 i am assuming it is something he has inherited or made himself so if he keeps it at home and out of production then i think he will be ok.

  • pero, quee carajo?????

  • NO KIDDING 'kmg976'. If that blade wedges and sticks in that log next thing you know it bends then takes a fillet out of his right leg.

  • so damn true.i wouldnt stand near that shit even if u payed me.

  • why is the man standing right next to it, im glad this video didn't turn into a faces of death video. STAY AWAY FROM IT, DON'T TRUST THAT

  • Holy shit, i would not go anywhere near that thing.

  • that sure as hell isn't OSHA approved

  • But it's fun man!

  • Nice! I want one!

  • ba-dang, ba-dang, ba-dang

  • I would invest in a chainsaw before using that.

  • This guy has too much time on his hands.

  • A saw was built right, one that still works how did when it was first made, matenance is the key to keeping a tool such as that in smooth working condition -that saw impresses me

  • the saw is one thing but what really impresses me are the people that have mantaned it and keped it the way it is for so long! i fully agree with you 100% of the way! good post!

  • cool man

  • it was really cool but very slow

  • @valestrand3 faster and far less tiring than sawing a log by hand. Remember its from the late 1800's. Technology was far less advanced back then.

Gotta love it when someone criticizes and old piece of equipment for being slow. duuuuuuuhhhhhhrrrr.

  • Geile Gerätschaft

  • Try walking 5 miles to work everyday without a car. Don't forget to mow your grass with a scythe. and GOD, GET OFF THE COMPUTER because more pollution is created in generating electricity for you to make those comments.

grow balls and use some tools. Better yet, do us all a favor and be more constructive with your time and criticism, or BE QUIET. Don't forget to use your head. I know you can do it.

    Thank you. Cool video.

  • Fuck you, awd3atms.

  • Nice! Cross-cut saw blade.

  • I personally think tht is really awesome.

you dont even have to touch the wood to do anything.

  • saw of death? mislabled!!!!!

  • Know that's a saw of death...when that saw get stuck it breaks and you can get it by schrapnels.

    Very dangerous.

  • lol if u had a chainsaw it wouldnt have been around. if this was around when you could buy a chainsaw...sometimes its all about what you can make.

  • if yuo got a chainsaw you dont need that

  • did you not see the chainsaw next to his leg

  • Woe!, that's really unsafe!

  • thats crap

  • That's awesome.

  • Saw 6 trap right here :P

  • 2 thumbs up, sure beats doing it by hand,

  • I want one!

  • that is quite awesome, good display of how lazy and ingenious we can be, using a saw designed to be used by hand

  • Awesome! I want one! :D

  • smart

  • looks like something you see from the saw movies cutting off your toes
