Nokia E51 impressions

cool vid,,,,,,,i down graded from the lg gc900 viewty 2 to the e51 ,,at first i was gutted at the tiny screen but i can download ebooks for free,,, then read them PDF in adobe on the e51,,,my e51 is permanently looking /scanning for Wlan networks,,,my lggc900 viewty 2 had google maps but e51 still has nokia maps,,,,,,,,,

This E51 is my favorite phone... Was! I bought it and after few weeks started to freeze. I swapped it for another E51. After a week it was also freezing. Now I just wanted to get rid of it. No one can explain it to me why its always freezing.

e90 and e51 is very much similar.

but e90 has 3.2megapixel cam.

and is it fliptop mobile/model of Eseries.

I have E51. google maps has a feature where you can actully pinpoint your location with a 300-500meters accuracy. This is not a GPS by far, but a very good substitute considering the circumstances. Apparently they use nearest cell towers to possibly triangulate the location.

E71 was the best nokia smartphone of 2008!....i love the e51...but E71 is better!

It depends. For example, I don't text much and I like things compact but with the same punch in the face that E51 delivers. So I own E51. I used to want E71 because of large screen, updated OS and better camera, but for my every day needs, i can put E51 in my shirt packet and off I go. E71 is more for people texting non stop. And the keys are nice. But my silver E51 is my darling.

@virussful I had the phone from Cex shop. It is not a china mobile, not fake. There was a guy in the service and he said that maybe my phone is freeze because the simcard. And that is why both e51 freeze in a same way.

Congrats regarding your exams! Very nice review. I dislike those rubber buttons too. I guess if they were more sensitive they would be accidentally pressed too often. I also prefer a QWERTY keyboard. I still use my old 9500 which is even bigger than the E90. Regarding GPS navigation - I use an external GPS Bluetooth module a lot for this. They are really sensitive because they have big antennas not possible to fit in a phone. I can get a good satellite fix in difficult places.

u can dl google maps, so thas ok. Why do u compare to e90 wen jus bcos u use it and its e series i dnt know, bcos its chalk nd cheese. Texting is easy so who need querty. Screen size is purfect, would wan ne dif. Thank 4 the vid

When you first access YouTube and get the mobile version of the site, scroll down to the bottom of the screen. You should be able to see a link for the Desktop Version.

I have had the e51 for about 4 months now. I agree with you on most negative points of the e51, especially the outer buttons. It's pointless to even put them there, especially the power on key. I just leave it on 24/7.

Does your E51 have the buzzing? mine had buzzing, especially when the backlight was on. Also people were always asking me about noises. screw the e51 ...
