If any of you do any real reading, you will find that George Harrison admitted he wrote this song in this way to fool the Christians at the time into singing along with the song. George Harrison will always be my biggest inspiration on guitar. In fact I wouldn't be playing unless it was for him. He was so inventive with his riffs and had such a good background of theory. I think of him as a phenomenal guitarist who was very underrated.

I think George saw the true values in religion. The real meaning behind it. In contemporary society, cynical people mock religion because it requires a leap of faith. It's nothing to fear, because while the religious structure is different from our monotheistic tradition (which it is), the principal of FAITH are the same, and the strive for spirituality and it's subsequent rewards are the same. It doesn't mean we're not "allowed" to appreciate it on any level.
