Many, many, many, many people will disagree with me and it's their right to do so but I think Mark Hamill should have been the Joker in "The Dark Knight." Ledger did a great job but I think Hamill could have pulled it off. Would have been great to see him REALLY bring the character to life.

I personally think this is Joker's BEST design. A mix beteen the original Animated Series and then the NEw Adventures. It has the streamlined look of the latter, but with more expressionate eyes and lips.

A BRILLIANT truly EVIL looking design. Much more so than the first Joker- who at times was quite loveable. The New Adventures Joker was too...plain. Whilst this one was just...evil.

To even things out here, Mark Hamill IS the voice of the Joker. Jack Nicholson had the best acting for the COMIC book version, while Heath's acting was the most REALISTIC version.

I think outside of BTAS' Laughing Fish, This was Joker at his best.

Well outside of the DCAU movies of couse.

I prefer Heath over Jack, but mostly because I thought the idea of making Napier the murderer of Batman's parents was silly and established the Joker to be significantly older than Batman (which makes them seem less like even rivals) so I didn't like the character itself as much.

Though the Heath Ledger version was just indescribably invincible for no real stated reason...
