@TheChrissy48 : God is not a hot stove, God is Mercy and Compassion... your analogy is wrong. Confessing you are a sinner on its own is not the way to salvation. If you sin, you then have to repent, make the sincere intention you will never go back to that sin, and repair any damage you did (i.e. if you stole something from someone, then you must return it). If you do not fulfill the steps of repentance, then you confession to sin is WORTHLESS.

Even if you murder someone, the to put it right, the family of the person murdered have the right to ask for you to be put to death or accept a ransom payment in compensation (of course nowadays people go with the laws of humans and not the Law of God). In the Day of Judgment, God will give His verdict.

Furthermore, ALL humans have a DIRECT connection with God. The "telephone line" is ALWAYS open. May I help to open your eyes. Original sin does exist so how is it passed on to us? Adam was created a son of God, in the presence of God and he was in the brightness of God. When Adam sinned he became a fallen creature doomed to die as a result of his sin. WE were born from Adam in his fallen state-not in his glorious state. We are children of a fallen man, we are doomed to die and seperated from God. Jesus came to take away the sin of the world-that sin is death-we are all born in death.

@wilby1414 Death passed onto all men. In Adam we all die but in Christ we are all made alive. Babies do not have personal sins to deal with but they are born in a fallen state. HOW do we fix this problem? Jesus called baptism in His name a conversion, regeneration and being born again. Born again without death and made alive in Christ. Romans 6. We come full circle from Adam's prefallen state back to a relationship with the Father through the Son. During baptism we are made alive in Christ.

When he sinned he was removed and prevented from partaking of the Tree of Life so he would not live forever in that state. We are born from a fallen man, we are doomed to die. Christ made away for us to have eternal life again but we must follow the doctrine of Christ to receive this eternal life. Jesus came to take away the sin of the world which is death.

In addition, Revelation says every man shall be judged by his works, both good and bad. It is our good works that can save us and our bad works that can send us to Hell, no original sin involved. So, Islam and Christianity is not that different after all :). Only difference: belief that Jesus is Savior, but both Muslims and Christians agree that Jesus is going to come back on Judgement day!
