Hey. I am a massive fan of final fantasy, if any of you fans out there want to discuss final fantasy and its music, just visit my blog. It's for those of you out there who truly appreciate the awesomeness of final fantasy.
I loved Final Fantasy IV waaaaaaaay before Scott Pilgrim. And I don't see why everyone is Raging about Scott Pilgrim. I honestly thought it was fucking badass that he mentioned such a great game, knowing that all people talk about when it comes to games now a days are Call of Duty, Halo, and other Bullshit FPS games with barely any story.
@Pharphain I thumbed you down for mentioning Halo not having a Story there's like Five soon to be Six games each following a story similar to how Final Fantasy games did the main difference between FF and Halo is that Halo has ONLINE PVP and ranked based stuff that also adds to the gameplay from a side that screams call of duty is a crappy copy cat :) Don't get me wrong buddy I LOVE FF all of them but 13 ;) And X-2 can't stand those two worst ones in me book.
@wizardlyTKO Lmao, I never said "Halo doesn't have a story." I just said it's a bs FPS game, which is ALL people seem to care about now a days. FPS, and Graphics. I know they have AC, and Elder scrolls and shit like that, but it seems like half the games they make nowadays have to have a gun in it. Hell, if you want to shoot something so badly, go join the fucking army.
@wizardlyTKO Oh, I guess I mentioned with barely any story. But you have to agree that Storyline in games just aren't the Spine chilling as they were back in the golden age of gaming. Games seemed to have lost their touch with Spine tingling storylines after Final Fantasy IX, FFX had a pretty good story, but nothing spine tingling, at least in my opinion.
@Pharphain I don't know mate.. I don't play Halo just because it is a FPS game. I play it because I like to kill stuff with Guns and especially jackasses in matches ;) It's a good source of relaxing and letting go of emotions :P And the army won't take me =/ Honestly to me there is no Difference in playing Elder Scrolls with a Bow than shooting someone with a pistol. ;P And honestly I disliked Nine.. It just didn't feel like Final Fantasy. Too much emo :(
@wizardlyTKO I respect your opinion that you dislike IX, but EMO? I think not. IX is one of the most cheery Final Fantasy games out there, along with V. A Final Fantasy game with emo shit going on would be VI; Terra is always depressed, Celes tries to kill herself, Locke can't get over his dead Ex-Girlfriends death, etc. IX has a balance between Oldschool Final Fantasy and New Final Fantasy. Which makes it my favorite FF game ever. Plus Kuja is the strongest FF villain if you think about it.

Since Emo is short for Emotional, all characters in the FF series get emotional at some point in the game. ('Cept for FFI) and LOL Hope, I hate him along with all the other characters in XIII(I Didn't like the game.).
@Pharphain 13-2 will have towns and mini games and the chracters seem to be no emo lightning vs kais. kais is voiced by kain from final fantasy 4 plese reply.
Even though the DS version is a remake, and I have mixed feelings about remakes, there's still no way in hell that I'm not going to play it. I'm even surprised I haven't yet. IMO, it's a shame that the FF series had to go in the direction it did, but I recognise that time flows ceaselessly and things and people change. I'm just glad I got to experience it at the time, and perhaps through things like this, revisit that era, however briefly.

(Well, that, and the fact that I don't have a PSP. There seem to be so many improved rereleases of titles I like on there, though, which is a shame. Star Ocean 1&2 and FFT for example. I also must be one of the few FFVII fans in the world who hasn't played Crisis Core yet. C'est la vie.)

@Kageravager there is always the Game Boy Advance Version, which was pretty solid in terms of graphics and translation. The bard is most certainly spoony, however.
For some reason, listening to this makes me feel so privileged to have been able to grow up with the Final Fantasy series, even if I only came in at number 7. Ever since I first played FFVII at age 9, and playing the demo of VIII, I loved having a new game to look forward to in a few years.
Of course, when I got a PC, I soon discovered the predecessors. FF seems to be a love it or hate it kind of thing, but I adore it. (as well as Western RPGs too, is that even possible?)
SNES VER. still awesome this VER. keeps the awesome but duodecim kills the desperation feeling this piece evokes. it sounded like music for dancing and prancing.
I love this battle theme! Honestly, FFIV deserves a console remake on the PS3 more than FFVII, I think. And lol, I got that whole nod about Scott Pilgrim playing this in the movie. He says, "I just learned the bass line to Final Fantasy II!" I think that's a cool nod in the movie. XD Love when my favorite games are referenced.
@Blackpapalink But they already remade IV into the Complete Collection version on the PSP. Plus, Final Fantasy kind of switched to Sony systems when VII came out. I wish it was on a Nintendo system though (well, besides the DS). It would be great on the 3DS.

@VideoGameMaster007 Well Fallout and Dragon Age follow a different formula for RPGs, sometimes referred to as Western RPGs. Final Fantasy, and RPGs similar to it are called Eastern or JRPGs. I like them both, but a lot of people only like one or the other, which is what I assume is the case with you?
@SnowBlindedbylight its a movie based of a manga, which basically is a parody of video games. its about a kid named Scott Pilgrim who wants to go out with this chick, but has to defeat her 7 (or 10, cant remember) evil exes before he can go out with her.it basically takes video games, and puts it in real life.
I knew this song before Scott Pilgrim played it...but it was the best part of the movie when he mentioned it. The bass line to the boss theme is better.

Believe it or not everyone, i actually have this epic piece one of my videos, for a unique series might i add, for what will be the most unique version of any Final Fantasy X walkthrough out there on Youtube. One that will hopefully exceed all others in terms of quality, and with this song augmenting my most recent video i can be proud of what i am making for my channel. :)
@Ryuuzakii666 yeah now that i just listened to the bass of this version i noticed it is the snes version although it does sound like ff2 for the nes too. kinda hard to tell with the whole song playing and him playing without the song.
