HERES A GREEN SCREEN LIGHTING TIP: Use the Zebra filter on your camera to show you how even the lighting is on your green screen. The evenness of the green screen is pretty important as stated by Ryan and this is a great little tip to help with the evening process. Light your green screen then reduce the zebra levels until the zebra lines start to show all over, then increase them until the zebra starts to break up. This will show you where the lighting is uneven. Adjust as necessary. ENJOY!

At the BBC they had a white screen with a big green light (Maybe several lights, can't remember) behind it.

The light was much more even and it meant that you didn't need lights directly in front of your subject that could cast shadows.

However you'd need a bit more space to put lights behind the screen.

Another important tip, since most everyone is dealing with compressed video files, is to derive your matte layer from a copy of your greenscreen layer after you've run a slight chroma filter, limited to the horizontal direction if you can, in most situations. This lets you tailor your filtering to the actual limitations in most all readily available codecs and is better than just a global blur which is actually harmful to quality.

Great Tips guys!!! Thanks. Also for a more comfortable "flying" trick, have the actor STAND ON A GREEN SCREEN, and FILM DOWN ON THEM as the look up towards the cam, very effective, much more comfortable than balancing on one's stomach and no "impression" to deal with.
