i prefer the japanese OST in dragonball, which fitted well with the light mood of the OST... but when dragonball became dark (king piccolo) it used dark tunes and tunes that never made it into dbz.

Dbz is a lot more dark than dragonball, and bruce's OST fits much better imho. to be honest, i think there was too much reuse in the japanese OST when you view db and dbz as a whole.

Some people dislike Faulconer's music because it was used so much but that shouldn't be a reason to look down on it. That is how it was used in the show and it shouldn't take away the fact that he produced a lot of epic moments in DBZ with is style of music

The Japanese soundtrack has few songs as epic as the US soundtrack.

I have both downloaded. Maybe it's just the US one that brings back memories from childhood, but even so,  the US tops all. Even the US dubbed is better than Jap. Though, it's my opinion XD

The different music can completely change the feel of the entire show. I dont like how faulcners music was playing EVERY SECOND OF THE DAM SHOW, but I still respect it. When you let the music play ALL THE TIME, it loses it's intensity. Faulcner needed to know when to keep quiet.
