you shouldof set the unit count to 'huge' (camrea options, then advanced) then put 1 or 2 legionary first cohots, and put all the barbarians on one side with every upgrade, so put a load of berserkers for germaia for example. and fill up the armies other than the romans. (this may result in decreaed performance) and then just let the romans get slaughterd. simple
I think this video was good, but what i would have done was, the Romans have the legions, while the Barbarians are all on one side, consisting of full armies of the Gaul and Britains as well as any other barbaric factions you can choose from, just make it so overwhelming. Because you can do that in this game, just make them all on one side. No hate, just stating what I woulda done, good video again :)
@VictumRoManius There was never triarii only legionairs and auxillia, not much cavelry or ranged units either, a roman would usally go in hand to hand
Why is the Legio IX all composed of Triarii? And why are they fighting Gauls? I thought the 9th was annihilation in Britannia, and by that time the Marian Reforms were already implemented.
great vid but a few thing that could have made it better would have been the map, the battle was fought in scotland, theres lots of mountins and hills there, also the ambush happend as the legion was on a long path sorrounded by trees, im sorry if i seem like some sort of nerd about this battle, but i am very intrested in it.
@DheaKDS im sorry to dissapoint you, but your wrong they werent fighting the britons the were fighting the scottish, by the time that the ninth legion was on the march to scotland, england and wales had been conquerd and were under roman leadership. id also like to say that when the battle actually happend the troops would no longer be know as hastatii or triarii, the marius reforms had hapend and it would have been legionares. just thought id make a point :)

Use the britons not the gauls

Why dont you use Legionaries??? Trariis were the third in a roman formation. The first was Hastati, the second Princeps.

Good video but the problems are
1st Problem : The ninth legion had over 4000 men ( Since Rome Total War can't have that much army in one battle I don't mind )
2nd Problem : They were fighting the Brittons .
