the other application on ubuntu is called drapes , i've used it , wasn't impressed at all . will try wallpaper tray , thank you for the tutorial . Keep up the good work . linux ftw
I recently downloaded Wally (using Windows XP) but it isn't quite working for me. I've set up a series of walls to use but it isn't showing me any of them when I tell it to play.
Is there something obvious I forgot to do? Something I need to set in desktop properties perhaps?
What program are you using to record the desktop? I haven't been able to find any that work this well.

Right click on the Desktop and click on Change Desktop Background and go to the last tab "Visual Effects" and select Either Normal or Extra

I think wallpaper-tray is now part of the default panel application list since Ibex.
