  • Nice work grinding out that last one!

  • Nice

  • for what does this machine help???? what does it do i know its a chest workout but which chest part where the nipple is???? pls answer

  • why not just do the barbell bench press instead, is it because u look stronger and more badass doing all this weight on a machine instead??? can u bench that much weight on a free weight incline bench?

  • @iluvfatchx

First off, if you bothered to look through many of my videos or did any reading about me, you'd realize that I incorporate a wide variety of exercises and rep schemes as part of my methodology (I have a recent Incline D-Bell press video...notice the video you're commenting about is from 3 years ago). Second, while I am an advocate of free weights, I am more partial to d-bells for chest as I feel barbell is overrated and yields weak results (for me as a bodybuilder).

  • Furthermore, while I rely mostly on D-Bell flys and presses as a key movement for chest, I happened to be doing hammer strength for this particular video, but I sense you are someone whose just here to criticize for the sake of doing so...do you have any videos or your own? how about pictures of your physique? Why don't you step onstage against me and show everyone what your made of.

  • @animal1622 NO i was really just asking why u like the hammer strength in ur own opinion, and does it really allow to push more weight than db and barbells for u or not? I've never really got many results from db presses so i started to do barbell bench and am looking into using the hammer strength machine myself for incline and reg presses? and if i steped onstage against u i'd lose for sure cuz i just starting working out and i love to party to much, HA!

  • @iluvfatchx

I get the best response/results from using D-bells, hammers strength and cables. I find barbells to be worthless for chest development, but everyone is structurally very different. I never do flat barbell press and only occasionally throw in incline barbell. Flat barbell is mostly shoulders and triceps...not terribly effective at building the pectorals

  • Try doing the negative portion of the lift slower. Also, as other people have said try not to forcefully lock out your elbows as much.

  • i would lower your elbows, they shouldnt be straight out

  • i love this machine, good weight btw

  • I like how you didn't give up at tre end there. that shows true grit. keep it up bro!

  • Your form isn't all that bad. The lockouts aren't that great for the shoulders though. Also, I accentuate the negative when I do them...

  • Wow I didn't know that was such a big deal, I should have filmed my buddy and I doing that years ago LOL

  • i can press this once haha. 5 times on normal hammer strength bench :D. Than I get on normal bench press and only get 255 :(. But I do only weigh 148 lbs lol

  • @boxinabag haha yea of course u can at 148lbs? pfft put a vid up or shut up

  • @zdo5p ok, give me a week to get my spotter to get the video

  • serious elbow issues going to develop for this ANIMAL1622!

  • @jamiejarman80 So what are you saying, you're not supposed to lock your elbows?

  • @esca8652 It is really your preference....but if you keep your arms slightly bent it keeps the muscle fully contracted and gives your muscles a better workout.

  • notice why he has poor chest development. At the top he collapses his chest and the anterior delts and triceps finish the movement. Need to take some weight off and feel the movement.

  • @crowsound dude this aint about what works this is about what looks good on youtube. Its called ego lifting 101, man. If you subtract the form from your lifts what could you push in the gym?

  • doesn't locking out @ the top destroys your elbow joints when u go heavy?

  • Is there an alternative to this weight machine?

I work out at a really small gym and they do not have one.

  • Incline barbell or dumbell press

  • go lower. and dont crush your joints like this.

  • You don't want the handles to touch your chest on an incline and strain your shoulder joints. On the flat hammer the handles can because the handles go to your lower chest.

  • So on presses, you just lower the barbell so that your elbows are parallel to your shoulders? Does it put a strain on your shoulders if you go lower, like make the barbell touch your chest?

  • grunts lul

  • :O o_o

  • Nice :-)

  • is this the xsport gym at arlington heights .. it looks a lot like it

  • Impressive, you must be strong as fuck

  • thats good bro. i can only do 3plates on each side 4 times.

  • btw i do 3 plates like but 6-7 reps and im born in 1991 too :P

  • oh wow you were born in 1991, someone get this kid a medal.

  • wow thanks for looking into my profile and dissing me, it truely hurts my feelings.

  • that last rep was badass

  • I dislocated my shoulder using this today.

    It sucks..

  • GOING TO HEAVY LOL

  • did u dislocate your shoulder man or u torn a muscle chest cause the same thing happened to me too on this machine but i torn my right peck i fuckin have to do a surgery now

  • How did you manage to do that? I just wanna know cuz I use this machine and I go heavy.

  • @ghettobeats ghetto, there are alot of tricks you can use to pressing more weight on the incline smith machine press that arent usually discussed. The first is setting the seat hieght so low that you dont have to press the weight up that far. by setting the seat hieght low, you can get more leverage on the lift.

  • i use this machine alot bombs my chest ,u can realy push hard wifout worrying bout spotters

  • I love hammerstrength machines, especially for chest, blows my chest up.

  • Good deal. That's a crapload of reps with 4 plates/side!

  • Nice and strong.

  • What is the total kilo for all the plates?

  • there are 4 x 45 lb plates on each side, so if my math is right it's around 163 kilos

  • @animal1622 how did you get a figure of 163 kilos?

  • @dellbaz There is 4 plates on each side weighing 45 lbs each, so thats 8 plates total. Total weight for the plates is 360 lbs, Convert 360 lbs to KG and you get 163.

  • @animal1622 How come your channel name ends in 1622? Were you born then?

  • hihi.. i can really use some help here.. can anione tell mi how to build my lower chest untill it hav a semi circle shape.. like wad normal bodybuilder hav.. cos my is like triangle shape.. and it really sucks.. thanks!!

  • I'm a little confused by your references to shapes (triangle and semi-circle). If you want to build your chest, this is a general idea: Incline= upper chest Flat= overall/middle chest Decline= lower chest. That is arranged base on difficulty. Remember, all of those angles still work the entire chest. The point is that the emphasis becomes slightly changed. I would focus on heavy flat presses with PERFECT FORM if I were you. See what happens and go from there. Push ups are decent if can't lift

  • you seem jealous!!!!

  • What the hell is this kid saying?

  • Try Dip (preferably using extra weight and/or on gymnastics rings)and Barbell bench press decline,Dumbbell bench press decline, dumbbell fly (flat and decline).Barbell bench press decline close-grip,

  • rrggghhh!
