@xKais3rx i have a hp pavilion dv6000 too :D and yeh it works great but you might need to download some drivers for 3D, wifi etc. but thats easy :)

it is a netbook remix, which mean that its made for netbooks. read the description and you see its a notebook and not a netbook.

but u can install the netbook remix anywhere so it doesnt matter at all

hi, I am wondering if you can help me with this little problem,

i just bought an acer aspire one D150, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB hard disk, and i want to switch linpus for ubuntu, but i dont know if I Should install Ubuntu desktop or ubuntu Netbook.

Do yo think that im going to hace any problem with this?

I installed this on my inside my vista's partition even though it is a desktop. Kinda hard transition from Ubuntu desktop edition but I like it 'cause it is the first computer that I got desktop effects working.

go to synaptic search for ccsm install that there you will be able to access all the tweaks!

I tried... It's not fucking compatible with my Broadcom wifi... Fucking drivers.. I want to know if NBR is compatible. Probably not..

@SuperKittyPancake use ndiswrapper, it takes about ten minutes to make sure everything is fine and requires a restart, but is worth the effort, it lets you use windows drivers for your wireless card. google ndiswrapper and they have a pretty good walkthrough.

I just put it on, it was available to locate both of my wireless drivers. 1 was proprietary and the other was free. I tried the pro first. It just had a black screen, but wasn't turned off. So i rebooted it, nothing happened.. I need help

I just installed ubuntu 9.10 netbook remix on my Asus 1101hab, works fine love it only problem im having is when i turn on the effects from apperance, i lose the top bar and non off the effects work, it gets very slow and sluggish vey bad, what can i do? im pretty new at this. plz help!
