I don't relax my hair anymore because I don't like permanently straight hair. Now that I don't use chemicals I don't need Aphogee, but its a great line for colored or permed/relaxed hair.
so then do you think it is okay for me to use say every 6 weeks or so. I don't have relaxed hair, I had a keratin treatment and I am happy with the results. but it was expensive and I want to keep my hair this way on my own. I am thinking maybe the aphogee products will do this for me. what do you think?
if thats what you used then its actually a chemical treatment and its different from the aphogee stuff. Aphogee doesn't straighten your hair, it strengthens it. The keratin treatment has a lot more keratin and some fomaldehyde in it to get your hair temporarily straight. The only other way to get straight hair is a realxer or a Japanese perm.
Or you could just flatiron your hair, that's what I do because its cheaper and non-permanent
I use heat on my hair sometimes, and the reconstructor just keeps my hair from losing its texture or getting weak
Its kind of like a protein treatment. I don't use Aphogee anymore (I use Sally GVP Reconstructor, which is the Joico K-Pak knockoff), but when I was relaxed I did use the Aphogee.
I honestly dont use Aphogee anymore, but I think its AWESOME for chemically treated hair. If I ever color my hair I'll definitely use it again
she's on Youtube, this is a video response to one of her videos
She has a relaxer and used a lot of Aphogee products. I used some of the same things to get my hair like that (CHI Silk infusion and the Aphogee reconstructor)
No, the products used help relaxed hair look like that.
My natural hair actually looks better than this (I dont have a relaxer anymore) now.
Its all about what techniques you use, since I dont use chemicals I just use different products and different methods to get my hair straight when I want to.
But you used those products to help your hair get like that? I'm a little slow when it comes to this cause I normally don't ask questions about this...
yea the stuff i was holding in the video I used condition my hair and some of them to get my hair straight.
Now I use different stuff, but when I had a relaxer I did use the stuff in the video.
I blowdry and flatiron my own hair so I buy my own hair products. I also have a bunch of methods to make sure my hair comes out straight, like blowdrying it in sections and using a small comb while I flatiron and all that (I have other videos about it if you wanna look)
definitely! My hair is thick when its not straight but I think its pretty thin when its straight
I have a lot of thin strands so my hair looks best with a blunt cut--- I am growing it out now so I can make it all one length but it takes SOOOO long :( lol
Biosilk has alcohol in it now and dries out the hair. CHI silk infusion basically strengthens the hair and protects it through styling and using heat between washes. Its like 100 times better than BIOSILK
I think it just grows average, maybe a little more, but the 2 minute reconstructor helped keep it from getting too mushy or too hard, and makes my hair feel stronger. But I think the main reason I believe I haven't had to cut/trim my hair is because of that CHI silk infusion.
Lol.. Dont you just love cats lol!!

Keratin treatment? Like the Brazillian one?

I will...I really wanna see what my hair looks like laid down
vexion15 2 years ago
like you want it to be straight or what?
al00fone 2 years ago
I want it to be as straight as possible instead of all thick and busting out everywhere
vexion15 2 years ago
if you want it to be straight all the time you can get a relaxer, but you may want to go to a salon and have it done.
Is that you on your videos? your hair looks fine though I wouldn't get a relaxer if i were you
al00fone 2 years ago
If not a relaxer you could get a texturzier (they have box kits for men) and that would loosen your hair enough so that it will lay down better
al00fone 2 years ago
Do they sell in Wal-Mart?
