Those Celestions give that combo a pretty Marshall like sound I guess. Stevie obviously set up to play dual Twins?? This song is that netherland of "clean and dirty". Sitll tone starts in the heart and Eddie you are a Master Blaster for the place Jimi takes us too! Have you ever spent any time with the DVD's of Andy Alledort? It is always a guitar center show stopper to nail some Electric Ladyland or Little Wing! You know they say this was for his Mom?

Yes, indeed. Actually, this was a 1-10" and 2-12" stack. I put in a 16ohm Celestion Vintage 10 in the Princeton and the 12's were Celestion Vintage 30s. Glad you enjoyed the tone!

i can tell parts are from a hendrix live show version and some srv things going on...good mix.

you should work on the vocals a bit more...it would sound even closer then. The guitar chops are there for sure.

however your vocals kinda arent the best

like I'm sure you'd sound good

but the way you sang it versus the tone/pitch of your voice sucks

Like how you gave it your personal "touch" sounds more like an attitude and kills it for me

without the vocals it would be very enjoyalbe

What effects/settings did you use for the solo?

thats the closest to Jimi's tone for the solo I've ever heard

you have to remember this was just a rehearsal and the tape machine just happened to be on...not a quality pa (a very low-quality monitor for the vocal) so the vocal tone is very diminished. At the end of the first verse the drummer fumbled his sticks too. funny, another commentor likes the vocal, whatever...probably used a marshall bluesbreaker pedal and maybe a vintage MXR Phase 90 during the solo, a Vox Italian Crybaby on the end.
