Wow. And Scola was the cutest member too. I could tell his side of the story was genuine and he's a good dude..bc he didn't try to bad mouth anybody he just told it like it was. Can't hate on him for that, keeping one hunnid lol...Dru Hill wont make a comeback tho, judgin their show, like Scola said too many egos...they barely get along..its like they're all bi-polar or some shit...best of luck Scola! :)
it seems that scola was taken advantage of,however the contract was offered to him 3 times and he turned it down,i also believe woody was a lil jealous of scola, woody is still mad about the 10,000 dollars, and i believe that's why scola is not in the group, scola didnt sign the contract,so anybody can push him out the group, and the record company can pay him what they want, since he didnt sign the contract, scola suppose to hire a entertainment lawyer so he can get was owed to him.
scola mentioned some shirts coming thru with his picture on it,if scola signed the dru hill contract,he would have been entitled to the merchandise deal and would have got paid, thats part of the contract and should be written in the dru hill or def jam contract, the record company dont have to pay him since he didnt sign the contract, the record company didnt pay scola when he worked on woodys album, cuz again scola didnt sign the contract,if its not on paper,it didnt happen, record company saved.
They started getting inspired by R&B Groups like New Edition, Guy, Boyz II Men, and of course Jodeci and wanted to switch to R&B but Woody's late mother wasn't happy about the decision to switch to R&B and pulled him out the group but the other three begged her to let him come back.
When Woody got kicked out of the school he went to with Nokio for cutting classes and only singing to girls he went to school with Jazz and Sisqo and they started singing and he and Sisqo asked Jazz to joined their new group so they introduced Jazz to Nokio and that's how Dru Hill came about around 1992. They were a gospel group called 14K then changed it to Dru Hill after the neighborhood Jazz, Woody, and Sisqo were living in Druid Hill Park.
Yeah he didn't sign a contract it was Woody and Nokio idea to form Dru Hill when they were about 14 and 15 years old back in the early 90s around 92 or 93 in high school and then Sisqo joined because he grew up with Woody and they went to middle school together. They both hung out when Sisqo went to Woody's school that he went to with Nokio in high school and the three started Dru Hill. Jazz is actually related to Sisqo.
Nokio and Woody caught Scola and L.A. Reid with their hands in the cookie jar and not to mention he stole Woody's royalties by promoting their side project group 3 The Hardway and Dru Hill by himself. He would live off their name and go oversees and it would say Dru Hill Presents Scola will perform. He made a comment when he sang In My Bed without everyone else a song he wasn't apart of saying Sisqo ain't got nothin on me.
Because he dissed Dru Hill on a youtube video by saying ya'll niggas dumb for signing that contract with L.A. Reid but then he rides L.A.'s nuts by saying he was gonna pull out all the stops for Dru Hill. They only backstabbing with L.A. Reid hating on Dru Hill and Scola hating on Dru Hill. Scola was fuckin LL Cool J and L.A. Reid them downlow niggas and it's not a lie. He got a solo deal and was gonna sign with Def Jam with L.A. Reid as oppossed to signing with the original four.
so he talks shit about dru hill for 25 minutes, than he tells us that his boy woody is reason he got into the group and the reason he got put out. lmao ,rofl and lol
That's right Scola only used Dru Hill he always wanted to be solo. His first album came out around the same time Dru Hill's first album came out but he was only hot in Baltimore.
