That first view is one of my favorites with the train coming around the big bluff on that sweeping curve!! In fact lots of beautiful locations here!! Do the tunnels at 4:30 have a name? Awesome video!!
Ok, now your just saying stupid BS. When I rode the Zephyr last year I really wanted to get shots here, because it is such a cool place. Just because you don't go out anymore doesn't mean you have to throw crap out there for no good reason.
LOL, this same Zephyr was all on the same day. We started at Moffat and ended the day in SLC (Salt Lake City, UT). Google those points and you'll see how far we drove that day LOL.
but if it was on time you would have had to beat it to slc, sleep, then beat it again to soldier summit, thats pretty hard, but i havent tryed it so i dont kno for sure :-)
It was like 20 mins late I think. Here's how the chase went: Moffat, Fraser, Byers Canyon, Glenwood Springs, Cisco, Solider Summit, etc. Soldier Summit takes place before the train arrives into SLC if it is westbound #5. First shot at West Portal was at 8:49 A.M. that morning, as these all take place around 6 P.M. on the same day. We really ended our chase at Provo, UT...making it a grand total of 476 miles of the same train LOL
Amazing horn on 192!

Nice shots cut together well. Such great trainwatching sites. Thanks for tripod and lack of zooming. Other Youtubers could take lessons from you.

Thanks, it was our first time there, and I must say. It is one of the greatest places to watch a train, and one of the easiest to chase one too.
