  • Comment removed

  • Only Gruntilda herself would dislike this if she ever flew over to YouTube.

  • Nintendo Should Make This Game For The Wii

  • (l) just love it

  • my fav soundtrack from Banjo kazoOOOiie :D

  • I still can't believe how memorable this battle was, using almost every tactic you learned throughout the game.

  • In the corner... ONLY FOR NINTENDO 64.... Atleast until we sell out to the 360... which'll be in about... 3... 2... 1...

Eh. I don't really care, cuz now I can play this game without having to steal a 64 from my mom.

  • press 1 for EPICNESS!

  • Dire, Dire Docks deserves #1. How the hell did this even make the list? HOW.

  • @Rebel009r cause banjo kazooie is acutally a better game then super mario 64...but both of them a absolutly epic

  • @Rebel009r I dont think it deserves #1 but, it must be on the list. The position, at least for me, doesn´t matters..

  • hmm i wonder... ringtone for mah mom?? :p

  • Pretty good, but srsly;

    Long live Treasure Trove Cove!!

  • Got this game on October 9th 1998-my 9th birthday. One of the greatest games of all time.

  • These where games.

    Fuck.

My shattered memories blinded by the easy stuff from today get clear with this Top Ten, you're my hero.

Too good you can still play this on 360

  • Listen to this song while you're taking a shit. You feel like jesus.

  • @JoNnYShizzle Spoken like a true Banjo and Kazooie fan!

  • much as i loved the original, tooie was just so much better to me, mainly for the bosses, since I even dislike alot of the tooie levels

BK was a nice, fun game, but in tooie shit got real

  • dude i could never beat this game super mario 64 or dk 64 god damnit there is always just one part i cant figure out what to do.

  • FUCK XBOX 360

    FUCK PS3

    FUCK WII

    FUCK THE NEW SHIT

THE OLD GAME MUSIC IS THE BEST

  • @kirbysbestfan Atleast the Xbox and Wii brought back these old games (Xbox got BK back on it. When I heard they would I jizzed.)

  • Long Live the N64...The Best Game Console of its Day!!!! \m/ OoO\m/ WwooOooOo!!

  • i think the reason y that people hate N&B is because ( AND I TAKE NON TAKEN ) everyone can't beat the campain, i mean like some of those missions are impossible, but the mutiplayer i think is alright, i wish you were able to get the parts AUTOMATICLY then it wouldnt have to be a OAIN IN THE F-ING ASS

  • @GamerXD54 I beat the campaign it wasn't that hard, more annoying than anything else.

  • @cartrifride *be

  • Banjo kazooie so awesome

  • This music is very familiar with Donkey Kong 64...

  • @RevolutionMPC It's the same composer.

  • @JamesKernaghan92 I knew...

  • Wow, I'm actually amazed that this video hasn't been disliked yet!

  • Nintendo, get Rare back!

    Rare, make Threeie with Nintendo!

  • reminds me of donkey kong music... the music in rare games always seemed to have some sort of similar sound.

  • Thanks to Microsoft, I'm never going to play this game again for a long while :(

  • i just wish nintendo wouldnt of sold rare WHY!! NINTENDO WHYYYY!!!!!

  • that witch was hard as hell >.<

  • Comment removed

  • @Nana85573 Spelling is also difficult.

  • @FlameForged what?? :(

  • @Nana85573 Lol, nice deleting comment and retyping it, notice the dates at which i sent the messages people.

  • @FlameForged i love you!!!!

  • It's amazing how much an epic battle theme can add to a final boss =)

  • Anyone who says Rare doesn't make good games anymore didn't bother playing Nuts and Bolts. It was awesome.

  • @LaserfaceJones It was good in it's own right but it wasn't what people wanted. Now obviously not everything should be catered to the expectations, but when you've created something as successful and loved ad the banjo kazooie games, why in the hell would you change the formula so drastically?

  • @esme553 My guess is because the developers though that if they could make a game that people liked in the first place, they could attempt to make a different style of game and see where it went. It's not like the franchise had seen the light of day in ages.

Besides, they got their start in a racing game.

  • *buys new Xbox with a card*

    *buys Banjo-Kazooie*

    LIFE NOW COMPLETE

  • Only thing i'm think when i Fought Gruntilda was

Me: This Game was Hard and Fun while it Last! NOW I'M HERE TO KICK YOUR GREEN ASS!

  • @mario6515 it literally took me 4 years to get to gruntilda from the beginning...

  • Sounds like the beer song. :/

  • Just to let everybody know, microsoft has had no part in the making of banjo-kazooie so for all you trollers out there, rare is planning on making a banjo-kazooie game in the future without the vehicles so stop attacking microsoft

  • @dogshrapnel Source of that please?

  • Nintendo rocks....

    i lost my banjo,zelda orcarina,mario 64 games...

I Still gots 7 other ones in my hand....

  • 2:40 = best part in video game music ever

  • GAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

  • People think the new banjo kazooie and

banjo tooie are better than this one. I have

to disagree BIG TIME! This game is awesome!

    It defines my childhood.

  • this game is a NINTENDO GAME. NOT A GAYBOCKS 1080.

  • @NintendmanMidget amen brotha, microsoft is drawing on my last nerve with this shit

  • Best 3d platformer of that era. Took the Mario 64 formula and perfected it.

  • my account name, represent :D

  • banjo-kazooie..ftw!

  • Grunty is freaking scary xD

  • It would be awesome if Rareware returns with Nintendo for the next generation.

  • every song on this game would my make my top 10

  • best game ever.. rare for the xbox360 sucks....

it was hard when i was 5 years old 1998 and playing this game whit the jingo's

  • never actualy finished the game i was way to young to understand the questions at the age of 10 or 12 i don't know and ofcourse i'm dutch so i was like what do i do i might wanna choose this one and bam one big ass weight on my head :D always made me laugh one of the best nintendo games

  • Very good music for a final boss. It's kinda catchy.

  • Christ, this brings me back!

  • i agree rare had the effing best. Anyone remember Jet Force Gemini? yeah the shit and why is none of their music on here IT WAS THE BEST EVER!

  • RAREWARE FTW!!!! too bad they left nintendo. all the best nintendo games are rareware games.

  • this should be nomber one.

  • @fawful92 fuck no!!! dire, dire, docks deserves its place!

  • @supergenoseth hey dire dire docks is a calming and epic theme.

  • very under-rated game. it is only overshadowed by mario 64.

  • @stuwee3 Mario 64 is alright. It's kinda dull, though.

  • JinJOOOO!

  • THIS MUST BE NUMBER 1 >:O XD nice

  • is this better than hyrule field theme? you're mad...

  • I freakin' love this song. Gruntilda is probably one of the most epic final bosses in video game history and this song shows that.

  • It's a goddamn shame that this series ended with only two major games. Nuts and Bolts was a huge disappointment. They just plugged the characters into a totally different game.

  • banjo-kazooie is my favorite game and tooie is my second. nuts and bolts is toward the bottom it was that bad.

  • trust me nuts n bolts was not honestly a bad game...it was creative and fun to make ur own vehicles...what pisses people off is that they put in B&K...it should not have been a b&k game...its in a variety on its own! not to mention banjos design is just odd. i love this theme though..its funny to belive shes easier then her gameboard and shes doign this all to be preety.

  • I concur. N&B wasn't bad but it was bad for Banjo. Seriously if they just took some characters from Diddy Kong Racing that didn't have their own franchise yet (e.g. Bumper, Timber etc.) they could've easily made it all its own.

  • glad to see someone agrees :P

  • I'm not the only one. I have seen more than one top 10 final bosses list with Gruntilda in the top 3. (Although I've only seen one with her being # 1, 2 if you count mine.)

  • when i was little i didnt even beat the game then 5 years later i came back to finish the fight XD

  • @haruhism23 lol same here! Now that I beat Grunty; it just doesn't seem like it was possible for me to beat her back then XD

  • banjo and kazooi came out for xbox360

  • Never got to play through this game, but was fun when i played it :)

Rare rules...too bad they arent doing the same stuff anymore

  • i think this should be number 1 for scaring the shit out of me first time

  • Rare were collapsing as it was, though. They were being left behind with the quality of their graphics, as the kids didn't want to play anything that looked old. They wanted new, they wanted better looking. Whilst I'll agree Rare games were the fucking best, their graphics had alot left to be improved.

If they would render their old games for better graphics, I would so rebuy and replay them. But only if they improved, and didn't change. And turn Banjo into a homo looking bear.

  • I just wish I could know what would happen if Rare was still with Nintendo. I'm sure a lot of Rare's characters wouldve skyrocketed instead of making one more appearance and going dead. Its possible Microsoft only bought Rare to take them away from Nintendo, cause their games were selling great.

  • microsoft totally fucked rare

  • Rare was too big of an asset to Nintendo. So they bought them and screwed them pretty much just to screw Nintendo.

  • Like people have already pointed out in the comments, there was more to it than that.

They had already had several staff departures by then. Unless you can find a source that shows that microsoft bought them to screw nintendo?

  • @royalavatar

i want banjo BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK, my favorite n64 jump n run besides mario.

  • @OropherThranduil did you know? is on emulator

  • @Grimjr75

i still have the game and my n64 at hands, but i mean i want a new banjo game made by rare for nintendo like oldschool, i mean nintendo is old school doing their new super mario bros wii games, so why not an oldschool n64 banjo.

  • @OropherThranduil Ohh ok then.

  • @Grimjr75 i mean for me banjo will always be nintendo.

don't care for the x box game.

  • @royalavatar Ah well, the Rare that exist now are not the Rare that we once knew. I wouldn't have such a problem with Nintendo selling them to MS if they still made games as high quality as they used to.

It would've been nice if they'd become independent developers. Then at least I could get Diddy Kong Racing on Virtual Console. <_<

  • Microsoft doesn't design the game.. /facepalm

  • @royalavatar Actually, Rare started declining after Perfect Dark. (Look up Free Radical for more on that.)

  • @royalavatar how, you fucking stupid ass? microsoft just bought them as a studio to add. they didn't change them internally, moron.

  • Good song, but I think this should be 10.

  • i know microsoft did a bad job but from looking at the majority of nintendos games in the present day they wouldn't have done much different banjo kazzoie is done (r.i.p)

  • Does anyone think microsoft is an evil miser for taking rare away from nintendo?

  • I agree TOTALY

  • I love parts like 1:18 - 2:00

  • God I fucking hate you Microsoft, taking away Rare from Nintendo xP

  • they should have stayed with nintendo, but they need something to get them back on track so they went to microsoft

  • @foamyfan231 Didn't Nintendo sell Rare?

  • Microsoft bought rare

  • @foamyfan231 From Nintendo...who sold their 51% share in the stock.

  • ughh

grunty's face is uglier up close

now i need to get some toast

    (im a terrible rhymer)

  • I STILL HAVE NOT BEATEN THIS BATTLE

  • Same, and when i went to go defeat her the pot wouldnt fly me up, so i restarted one of the games, and im nearly ther:)

    Im sooo gonna waste her

  • This would work great as a metal cover. :O Sounds very demanding, though.

  • Epic.

  • what IS rare doing with microsoft? they really didn't come out with that much games for the xbox and 360, not nearly as much as they were with nintedo

    WHY!?!

  • some arguement about royalties and funding and character copyrighting.

bit of a petty arguement, considering that they were getting more than enough money anyway

  • at least they didnt go to sony(no offense)

  • @FurySaterra64 Ditto'd, but I'm glad they're with microsoft because I got to play perfect dark on xbla! :D

  • @FurySaterra64 rare was purchased buy microsoft. While i agree with you fully, understand it wasnt Rare's decision...fully...

  • @FurySaterra64 coz life's unfair!):

i loved this game and tooie, no matter how many FPS you come out with these games will always be at the top!

  • @FurySaterra64, because they're stupid.

  • @FurySaterra64

Because most of Rare's top people left Rare and went to Free Radical.

  • @FurySaterra64 It's not the same RARE anymore, so yeah. The company consists of entirely different people now. Which is why they produce absolute shit now.

  • @FurySaterra64 Probably because Microsoft only bought them out to prevent Nintendo from benefiting from Rare. Rare being bought coincides roughly with the entrance of Microsoft into the game console market; and if Rare had still been owned by Nintendo, then the Xbox and PS3 would've had some huge competition from Rare in particular. If Rare's former employees could get back together and work on projects Open-source, it'd be awesome :-D

  • @FurySaterra64 you fucking stupid ass. microsoft just bought them as a studio to add. they didn't change them internally, moron.

  • @cartrifride I would normally respond, but since you don't seem like someone who can mature, I won't waste my time with you. Sorry, come back when you can reply without insulting someone over their opinion. inb4flamewar

  • @FurySaterra64 so it's your opinion that microsoft ruined rare? how can it be a matter of opinion when i just gave you a fact?

  • @cartrifride Maybe they didn't change internally, MAYBE ,but i've yet to see any good come from them lately, ever since they have been with microsoft. Could you give me an example of how they didn't change internally? It seems they made way better games back with nintendo.

  • @FurySaterra64 the two head guys of rare left. that's partly why they suck so much. who knows for sure if microsoft impacted them? all i can say is, there's a good chance they haven't.

  • @cartrifride Yes you're probably right, but I wish they would make some more games. Like in the old 3d platformer style (banjo, conker, dk64). Can we please stop before this gets out of control? I really hate arguing.

  • this is actually an awesome piece of music, I never really noticed it before.

  • this absolutely kicks ass :)

  • Thsi definately should be # 1.

  • WHAT SONG IS THIS DERIVED FROM!!?!? i know i've heard a song way too similar to this not from this game.

  • Most likely Donkey Kong 64, the music in that game and in this game were directed by the same guy.

  • i figured it out, theres a song made in the 30's called teddy bear picnic which was the base of this song.

  • The little bear sumthin...

I dont remember but a guy in the animated movie "Open season" sings it xDD

  • I KNOW that hillbilly guy. and its called teddy bear picnic

  • maybe from donkey kong 64?

    They sound pretty similar.

  • this is better than zelda and starfox music?

  • i personally think grundy's lair is better, but this one is one of the better ones too haha :)

  • the music really set the mood of the game. fast and speedy to get pumped up and its the kind of music that makes me remember all the fun i had getting my ass kicked by her fireballs when i was younger <=D

  • :38 - 1:18 favorite part

  • Nuts and Bolts is fun, but Banjo-Kazooie's platform gaming was more fun.

  • man.. i love that keyboard solo's =p

  • Thanks love the music. ty@

  • i wish rare stayed with nintendo. maybe banjo-threeie would have came out. i dont like nuts and bolts because they added machines. they should have just made it normally. 8 worlds. 90 jiggies. and jinjos and notes. that would have been fun. the only thing i like fron nuts and bolts is the banjoland music.

  • actually there were 9 lvls lol

  • i was talking about in banjo tooie. guess i shouldnt have written it in the BANJO KAZOOIE final boss music right

  • lol probably

  • Nuts and Bolts is a driving game with nothing but Time Trials. Not a true Banjo Kazooie game.

  • mostly because most of the Rare team that created DK and Banjo Kazooie has moved on to other companies. I wish they would all come back together and make rare 2 or something, and release great platformers again

  • actually the same banjo team made nuts and bolts.

  • a lot of the artists, music designers, and programmer have left for bigger and better things

  • what is bigger and better than banjo kazooie

  • they left for better paying jobs, and bigger projects. yes, banjo Kazooie was great, but the game industry has changed and its not the kind of game developers are looking at atm.

  • The current game industry is so awful. All they want is graphics and guns, it's never about the artistry and minute detail like it used to be. Creative enemies, awesome music, etc.

  • @ JakAndDaxter5,

God, go fuck yourself, douche bag. Just let people have their own opinions, you shithead.
