Thank you. Great review about the durability, functionality AND sound quality. It's great to see reviews from guys like you who REALLY do use the stuff and KNOW about the things they use. Thanks bro!
@majsk84lif3 These are studio headphones they are designed to be "Flat" and not have any enhancements like bass etc. They are for music production not DJ'n or general listening.
Can you replace the ear pads? I think these headphones are great for home studios, specially if you are recording loud amplified guitars and want isolation these headphones provide.
hey man i was just wondering if they have noise cancelling on them with a battery or anyhing. if not, would i need them in general. im looking to use them when i mow
i owned this same model for about a decade...and had the same experience...comfortable, great sound, ..but the spongy ear part started falling apart after couple years...i'd buy them again though
The earpads are replaceable but are not sturdy at all. Sony really needs to make them better. I think they just want to sell us more earpads. I've owned these headphones for like 15 years and bought like 4 sets of earpads already. Sucks.
I love everything else about the headphones though. I've compared the sound with headphones costing double and they sound just as good.
my only complaint about these headphones are the ear pads since they started to rip a bit on the inside like the ones up on the video.but i heard you can replace them with Beyerdynamic DT 250 pads which should be more durable
@plew01 I owned the Bose On-ear (tri.), Bose AE2, Beats Studio, Sony mdr 7506, and Audio Technica M50...
These are clearly better for sound mix and overall sound quality than the Bose tri. Compared to all these I would say the Audio Technica M50 beats them all (for studio use and overall sound quality)
@JubrilRandom Obviously, you don't know what you're talking about. don't be a nigger, 8 our of 10 is not fair. other professionals gave it great reviews, and non of them complained about the bass. It's your stupid Ipod or your old computer that doesn't supply much power to the head phone. YOU UNDERSTAND!!!

Hi! is it possible to fold the ear pieces inside out like the more expensive sonys?how long did you have them?
it looks like you had them for years to be able to get them worn out like that?
or maybe thats just crappy material around the ears?

From the way you speak, I think you might be queer. I don't trust gays giving technology reviews.
Oh an guess what? I won't listen to you, I will buy this model to mock you!!

do they have a lot of sound leakage?

イヤーパッドを新しいのに交換すると、パンチのある音が蘇りますよ。その時は、ウレタンリングも一緒に交換して下さい。良い音を末永く楽しんで下さい。I love 7506&V6.

the pads CAN be replaceable
but i strongly recomend you buying the Beyer Dynamic DT 250's velour pads
they are much more comfortable and much more durable
it will even increase your headphone's performance as for it seals much more than the stock sony pads.

are the pads replaceable??
SealofApproval105 2 years ago
yes but there costly, around 13 a pad. But the headphones are completely worth it. AMAZING SOUND for a now amazing deal.

i love them but yer right the pads are cheaply made mine are coming apart after about a year...i thought it was just my fat head LOL

replace the pads with the beyerdynamic dt-250 pads for around $20, pays for itself in the long run but they are more comfortable and durable

If you want the exact same headphones for $25 less you can get the Sony V6.

Have you been chewing on them? I've had mine since Europe two years ago, they're in my garage right now on my drumset and have no damage to them.

if you want better bass, try messing with the equalizer(for itunes, try theR&B preset) and listen to 320 bit rates.

@JubrilRandom these arent suppose to have alot of bass, these are STUDIO headphones. if they had more bass, your mixes wont sound as good
