screw you all blaming the remakes, you are just too stubborn to break free from the old stuff. no matter how good the originals are, it gets more redicilous through the sequels. people want some new stuff. the moviemakers knew the old stuff was good, so they make a modern version for the younger modern audience. if you want to stick with the old stuff, fine, but stop complaining like the remakes were bad movies, they re not. the classics are NOT BETTER, just classic, remakes keep the story alive

The only good thing that kind of worked in the remake was the new Freddy. Jackie Earl Hayley did an OK job playing Freddy, it was no Robert Englund but still satisfying. The rest of the movie though, complete GARBAGE. How the hell do you mess up this bad. The Halloween and Friday the 13th remakes were not good either, but they were still entertaining despite how much they sucked. This one though was boring as all hell and unimaginative (*cough* the bathtub scene *cough*). 3/10

I liked the old ones alot, but the new one was great. Alot darker and it explained Freddy's past alot more.Also I like in the new one how he really looked like a BURN VICTIM. The remake is what the original was "originally" supposed to be... Freddy was supposed to be a child molester not a child killer.. He wasn't supposed to be comical.. he was supposed to be extremely dark, sadistic, witty and sinister.. All in all... He was supposed to be a nightmare... and the remake did a pretty nice job

If I must be completely honest, each version of NOES is amazing in different ways. The original has the creepier, more nightmare-inducing (no pun intended) music and the dark humour that helped make it a classic, but the remake is much better in terms of visual effects and sinisterness.

Hmm, I like both films, well, I like the entire NOES series. But... I'm gonna have to say the original theme is better. This sounds more grand and sweeping, which is fitting for the higher budget, but doesn't fit Freddy himself. In this case simpler is better, and just those couple notes that make up the recognizable part of the original theme do their job more than this ever could.
