  • This is my life in song form. I've done just about everything in this song, except I know how to play the B-flat clarinet, I've never learned how to play the fiddle and I'm not married.

  • Wow, I haven't heard the original in YEARS, thanks so much for playing it!

  • I have the exact same record player. It's a combo radio/CD/cassette as well as vinyl, isn't it?

Oh what a small world we live in.

  • Thats awsome. It sounds dif from a CD but I like it! Thank god im a country boy!

  • Childhood memories of this one for sure...God bless J. Denver

  • i LOVE alternative rock, but i LOVE john denver too :)

  • my dads bought when he was young (my age) a duo album of john denver

i think it's named : "a night with john denver" or something like that:D

  • Holy Shit!!! I had this album.

  • I never knew there was a studio version of this song. I always heard a live version on my single & on the radio in the 70's.

  • thank god i'm a COUNTRY GIRL !!!

  • Loretta Lynn sang that on her Live In Wheeling record, I should upload her version lol

  • Life ain't nothin' but a funny funny riddle

  • In 1993,we entered the Dark Age of Music and we are still in it today

1955-1987 was the Golden Age of Music

  • Yeah, I've always thought that music died about then, there are very few songs that are new that I like, I'd say that I like one song for every 200 that have been made recently lol ( if that much )

  • @carpentersaddict

    Music =/= only Country.

Stop being closeminded music did not die, By the way I don't like Hiphop and shit like that

  • @carpentersaddict maybe you're just getting old.

  • What happened in 1987 or 1993 to end the golden age of music?

  • 1987-We plateaued,rather than fell

1993-Alternative "Rock" came in full swing, thus starting the Dark Age

  • When I was teenager in the 80's, everyone told me the golden age of pop was the

    50's and 60's, but not the 80's!

  • Too bad you have that bassackward, when hip hop became main stream thats when music suffered a crippling blow.

  • Hip-Hop and Alternative Rock both ruined music.

  • Alternative Rock is fine, but hiphop is shit wou;d'nt even call it music

  • What happened in 1993. Be more specific friend.

  • Alternative and Hip-Hop

  • yaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • they sure dont make music like this anymore, awesome with the old record thank you, i blare this song all around town and get the funniest looks from city folks

  • Awesome song!!! I like very much...

  • Me too, around here, you still hear poeple riding down the streets in their big souped up trucks blaring this song every now and then haha

  • hehe:) I like all john Denver songs...i have made some videos with my guitar...is very beautifoul for me play his songs!

  • This song is great, but it's the lesser known version. The one most people tend to request is the Live version, myself included. Then again, any song by John is great.

  • If I ever get a copy of the other version I will post it, but I do have several other John Denver records that I could post songs from, and I'm going to eventually post more lol

  • dudes a ledge

  • What is this "record" you speak of? hahaha

  • thats a record, not a cd lol

  • it's sure not no CD. i thinks its a tape

    (say like a redneck)

  • I'm from Italy.we miss John even here! R.I.P.

  • Everybody misses John Denver, how could you not miss someone with songs like this one, and Grandma's Feather Bed, and it seems like everyone knows Country Roads, great music that dosn't take itself to seriiusly, we need more music like that

  • thats funny

  • Its a great record. I have it too.

  • I'm from Minnesota and that is where John met his wife Annie who's parents had a restaurant in Southern Minnesota. I knew several people who would go as guests to John's concerts because they were either friends of his or Annies. This guy was never a snob and I have appreiciated his music more and more the older I get. He was a national treasure.

  • John Denver's music was always great, it went through different phases, and styles, I loved them all

  • very

  • Nice
