People in Buffalo, myself being one, should never complain about lack of STONES shows. The boys have been quite generous in their appearances, sometimes (ex: 1975&78)playing 2 shows a summer only a month or 2 apart. Buffalo is a great city for concerts! WHY?CONSIDER THIS: Toronto, Cleveland, Rochester, Pittsburgh are all a reasonable drive from Buffalo, especially TORONTO, the Stones home away from home...and less than 100mi. from Buffalo...rock on!
@xxzeon saw my 1st Stones show in Buffalo for Some Girls. Best 2 days of my life; quit my job to drive my friends and I from Trenton to show. We stayed up all night in our hotel room and cooked burgers in our room! everyone was in halls drinking and throwing frisbees. The show was awesome and it was very hot. On July 4th so when we drove back to Canada the fireworks were incredible.
You call this butchered? A little sloppy, maybe, but what's new? They were breaking in a new guitarist, after all. Saw the Stones in '72, '75, '78(twice), '81(twice) and a couple of times after that! They definitely became more conscientious on stage as they got older and had more to prove!
You need not be so apologetic. The sloppier, the bettter! The Rolling Stones play dance music. Maybe Exilemainstreet never moves to their songs. Maybe he can´t get his leg over? Have just come back from my aerobics lesson. Only play Rolling Stones there. Best music to move to. Most people on YouTube only seem to listen.
46 yo black Stones freak here and I'm feeling pretty good right now cause this is the 1st time I've heard this version, though I've heard of it. Love those Bill base lines. Glad it's funkier than the original, which I'm always been crazy about! You go boys!
Always loved this tune... this is a great live version... this tune always reminded me of a song Mick and Keith harmonized on in the '60s called 'Connection'...
There's a (fairly) well known boot-take of this tune from the Toronto show of the '75 tour that is truly incredible-more reggae-ish with harder, cleaner guitars and a catchy synth/organ/marimba accompanying riff. Check it out if you can find it.
@Nyquilcoma ---I have the Toronto show already, I'll post it sometime. (This Buffalo version is not as bad as some people are saying...but to each his own!
I always thought of 1975-1976 was when Mick started short changing some songs a bit. The way he sings this one doesn't have the great world weary feel as the recorded version, which happens be one of my favorite songs of all time and a Stones song that few know or remember. This is a great song. Luxury is feaking great.

I don't know if they butchered this one, but they're sort of half assing it, playing the hinterlands.
