Thanks for posting this mate! I've been trying to find it for ages, I haven't seen this since I was about 12. They went a bit underwater crazy in 1989, what with this, Leviathan and The Abyss. The Abyss was my favourite though.
@SuperDonster Yeah, they have those trends. Like, you may remember in the late '90's-early 2000's, there were loads of "XTREME!" films about skydivers and snowboarders and mountain climbers. Point Break and Cliffhanger I suppose being the ultimates.
@FudgePackProductions Ah mate I liked the new Thing! I think they were very clever with how they tied it in with the original. Its especially fun if you watch the original just after the new prequel.
@FudgePackProductions I didn't even bother going to see the new Thing. The old one's an absolute classic. It may not be to everyone's taste, but from a technical standpoint a lot of work went into that film, and it's all 'real'.
oohhh the movies of ur childhood mmm memories how i enjoy to reflect x

@gullivera "underwater crazy in 1989" lol! Right before that the mid 80's went "high school crazy."

@grizly9b4 I know. The new Thing isn't a patch on the old one.

I notice an actor from THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY co-starring in this film. He acts well in this film, too.
